  1. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    4 SPFL clubs bunching midtable.

Falkirk will be kicking themselves they missed out on the chance to go equal third.

they should have brought Crawford Baptie on for the last 10 minutes and just punted high balls to him and they would have got a goal

  3. lets all do the huddle

Think I went to three consecutive SC ties a wee while back, not even close to a SF or Final ticket. Funny that some of those who benefit from the system, keep threatening to bhoycott it….

All in a good cause of course.

Second half performance absolute shocking team performance, i personally blame Martin Oneil for his tactics, for holding on to a 2/1 lead

  5. I’m not one for stating Scottish refs are biased. I think the evidence suggests incompetence.

As LADTH spotted earlier, when Engels required treatment following his kick in the face, the Hibs player was given a yellow card. The ref then made him leave the field of play and remain sidelined for 30 secs. The laws of the game clearly state that a player does not need to leave the field of play after treatment if the opponent receives a yellow or red card for the incident that caused the injury. That’s a fact of football law. No ambiguity.

Today’s officials are evidently incompetent. Pure and simple.

What do you mean by “shambles re new manager”? Do you know something nobody else knows?

    Pray tell.

PS The last time I questioned you, you threatened to flounce, as if anybody cared. Try and stay calm this time.

  7. By the way, I think a yellow card was the correct decision for the Hibs player that booted Engels.

In the same way that Yang should not have been red carded at Tynecastle. Two wrongs do not make a right.

i think our refs and var folk need to take a step back for a while, take a deep breath, get reminded of the rules, and then come back and try do things properly.

they are disappearing up their own holes with some of the stuff that is so obviously against the laws of the game.

and they are getting handsomely paid for it.

  9. Regarding Yang’s clash of heads in the Hibs box, I believe he got the ball whereas the Hibs player got Yang. In that case, like it would be in any other area of the pitch, it should have resulted in a foul to us (thus, a penalty).

Not a mention of VAR looking at the incident. Why?

I would have liked MON to have mentioned it in post match interview.

so i think the yellow card was correct today.

but the incidents are different – specifically because Yang didnt touch the cheating runt at hearts. if he had then i think that was a red card offence. his boot was so high, whereas today arne had to dook down a bit for the ball and the guy kind of flicked his boot but it wasnt as high a yangs hearts one.

    just my opinion

  11. Tom

You didn’t question me, you had a sly dig as per, I didn’t threaten to flounce, I just got pissed off with your constant pathetic digs, I get it you don’t like what I have to say most of the time, but unlike you I don’t have to resort to innuendos, if I did a red card would be forthcoming, I am not an expert like you, I just say it like it is.

No I don’t have any info, just stating a fact, it’s a shambles.

totally agree with that – and thats without me knowing either way what the outcome would have been.

why was there not a var frame by frame analysis of that incident like there is with so many other incidents for example the chelsea red card earlier, and scales hand ball obviously.

if yang gets his head on it before the defender, even by the smallest fraction, then its a penalty.

if both get their head on it at the same time, then it isnt.

but why wasnt it checked to that level?

  13. Like Liam himself, I have no issue with their penalty award. Ii looked to me that Liam tried to head the ball and missed. He then trapped the ball between his torso and arm, preventing the ball going passed him towards the Hibs player behind him. Liam’s elbow was very high, with his upper arm practically horizontal, and his forearm was vertical. I expected VAR to call the ref over and a penalty to be awarded.

Liam said he didn’t anticipate the ball reaching him. That’s his error. Maybe if he did anticipate better, he would have got his forehead square onto the ball.

  14. Call me Gerry 18.23

That’s exactly how I saw the penalty .

I thought that it was a pen .

    TT

A fantastic trio of away wins .

  15. Call me Gerry – IMO if Engels heads over,it goes to var….I know….should be penalty and a red card,it should have been red whether he scores or not

  16. lets all do the huddle on

    call me Gerry

Engels leaves the field of play as part of the concussion protocol.

    good shout.

    hadnt thought of that.

I find it funny that those who lampooned the reappointment of MON now want/suggest he should stay forever.

I find it funny that those who lampooned the reappointment of MON now want/suggest he should stay forever.

do you know for a fact that they were the same people? 🤷🏻‍♂️

but i like the word ‘lampooned’ 😄

  19. Watching Sevco holding out against ( a good tbf ) Falkirk is a sign of the times.

They will be 4th place finishers, if they’re lucky, for the rest of our lives.

Even if they had to sign guys like CCV, VVD, Dembele, Edouard ( which they can’t afford) etc they would turn out pash because they don’t have the same level of players that we already have that can bring/push them on.

Once Tav leaves….thats their last real player gone.

They will be full of players who can’t win every week.

The 2 49ers guys on the board WILL leave/resign shortly.

Cavanagh will put up a new front man and then the huns fans will realise that not only do they not own their strips, badges etc ( Big Mike does) but they need to pay millions every year for eternity to play at the debt dome/ibrox.

Absolutely fekin glorious and get it right round every single one of them.

  20. lets all do the huddle on

sure it wont be played there.

    but i think it should.

anyway, they will ask to get it switched to kilmarnock or celtic park

  21. Just watched MON’s post match interview.

    What a personality.

Actually very like BR in his comfortable style.

Talking BR, I am just sorry it fell apart at the end. I wanted BR back so I really felt it when he left ( Voluntary or otherwise)

However we can all see, parting company was for the best.

in between a few of the songs a young pup was singing “martin oneill..etc”

then 2 of the bouncers got pissed off with it.

and dragged him by the neck down the stairs and out.

    it was out of order.

he was literally a wee boy, they could have just told him to shut it, but i didnt see him get any warning.

and these were 2 mean dudes dragging a wee young boy down the stairs by the neck.

Kilmarnock got a penalty yesterday for a clash of heads that was less clear cut then today.

I was saying the exact same. I am convinced it was delberate
