The inevitable just waiting to happen! Sorry for being negative but I cant see us winning tonight?

What the heck do I know! Guess Lennie was going thru CQN posts at half time and read mine out to the team!!! As long as we continue to pass and move the ball quickly we’ll have no problems!

Aye, has your missus allowed you to “un-flounce” due to the comeback tonight?

I did picture you with praying at a makeshift altar set-up on the crest in the drained swimming pool at half time, which may have proved to Mrs TET the importance of your Club and might allow you to partake of a few comments on CQN tonight…

As far as I’m concerned, he’s a Celtic fan who’s lost his way a bit.

Bring him home… the more the merrier.

    goals change games.

they got a fluke. celtic fought back and should have scored 3 in the 1st half. that’s why i wasn’t panicking at half time. we were playing ok if not brilliant.

bit of JF genius kickstarted the 2nd half.

only concern was we were a bit too gung ho, chasing the game in the first half. left ourselves exposed at the back for a couple of quick counters.

if nothing else it at least showed the players were desperate to win the game.

however – don’t panic, keep your shape, play football, score goals.

  5. Happy with 2nd half performance.Forster as Celtic 1st team goalkeeper is a disaster waiting to happen,He did have 1 or 2 good saves but any keeper would do that.IMHO Forster is useless.Slan

  6. I have been a critic of Majstorovic in the past and I regard myself as a fair minded supporter so I’m on to praise him tonight. I think both he and Rogne both had a fine game tonight. I know he ‘scored ‘ the Hibs goal but that could have happened to anyone. Congratulations also to the management team and the players on the team’s second half performance. They were excellent and – deadly. So many good performances throughout the team. James I find is a little lightweight for the Europa League at this stage of his career but he is in magnificent form in the SPL and League Cup. He will come good in Europe in time.

I’m highly delighted by tonight’s performance and it’s bound to give our support a lift. It’s also bound to get the other side feeling slightly uneasy. I think we are about to go on a run.

    Hail! Hail!

  7. Some have said something along the lines of “hope we can kick on from here.”

I think we have been “kicking on” since the second half of the Kilmarnock game.

The desire and fight shown then was the platform for the season.

The level of performance is also improving now.

That interviewer was so sympathetic and gutted for Colin Calderwood…what a nice interviewer. Concentrated on the positives for the Hibees. Was he the same guy that was disgusted with Celtic’s first half performance when interviewing Lenny?? BBC Sport Scotland – shower of blatant huns.

    ****************************

mebbes aye, mebbes naw….did you even stop to consider the interviewer might be a hibs fan?

  9. Enjoyed the 2nd half, it was a bit special. As an ex defender I enjoy watching their movement and was very impressed with Rogne but take a bow Victor Wanyama you are the real deal, made space for yourself, always in total control, covered runs and that pass to Mark which resulted in a red card was inch perfect.

  10. Philbhoy – It’s just the beginning!

Indeed we are different, I wouldn’t insult my fellow Celtic fans intelligence by pontificating about how they should show their support.

  11. glendalystonsils on

I was suggesting at half time bringing on Paddy for James Forrest. I will not be giving up the day job.

I read the game exactly the same as you. I wasn’t overly concerned at half time and felt confident but also felt that we were leaving the back door open. We were unlucky to be down at half time but we do have a lot of quality in the team and that quality is beginning to play.

If you cant see celtic were woefull in the first half, then football’s not for you.

We are all passionate about the team we love. You haven’t exclusive rights to that.

nobody voted you the number 1 fan.

Sorry to butt in here man. I’m an infrequent poster but as a constant lurker I do tend to notice a thing or two. One of the things I noticed tonight was that you had quite a lot of criticism of our team in the first half, and with good reason.

However it did strike me that you had precious little to say as matters improved second half.

Now it could just be that you were feeling a little bit foolish or more likely that you are one of our many fans who are quick to criticise but slow to encourage.

Pardon me if I’ve got this wrong and I’m sorry to single you out because you are only one of many. You just happen to be the one I picked up on.

Please don’t think for a moment I’m doubting your Celtic credentials but perhaps you and other fans who refuse to be happy might want to look at how you support your team.

This problem exists on a much bigger scale at Celtic Park and has, i believe, a negative effect on the whole club, team included.

Surely that’s not what you want?

    Hail Hail

We are starting matches showing the opposition far too much respect while showing a nervousness that is obvious to any of the past few weeks opposition; so much so it is giving them the confidence to attack us.

Why do our Central defenders have to go up for corners and set pieces knowing that they won’t get back in time to fulfil their primary task?

We are obviously dismal at defending and fear it will not be us giving a team a battering but taking one ourselves against any decent opposition.

Sorry for the negativity Bhoys & Ghirls, but I fear another Bun league win on the horizon…Even with a 10 point deduction. Great 2nd half Bhoys but fear for the future.

Forgive me Father for I have sinned.

  15. celtic may not have played to celtic standards in he first half – but cut them some slack – YET AGAIN they fielded a team who has never played together and we lost an early unlucky goal.

We carved them open too in the 1st half and missed 2-3 sitters as well as other half chances.

So – we won 4-1 and had some escapes but the team has more injuries than i can rememmber – yet we fight!

Rangers couldnt deal with this situation in their team!

  16. From Private Eye…

Even those companies listed on the lighter regulated PLUS market, such as the GLasgow club, are required to provide the following regarding the company’s Directors: “Details of any official public incrimination or sanction of such person by statutory or regulatory authorities (including designated professional bodies) and whether such person has ever been disqualified by a court from acting in the management or conduct of affairs of a company”

So how is it, therefore, that the circular issued by Rangers in June announcing that Craig Whyte had acquired control of the club and joined the board did not report that he had been disqualified as reported last week by BBC Scotland Investigates? The programmerevealed that Whyte had been banned in 2000 for 7 years following an investigation by the Insolvency Service into one of several companies with which the supposed billionaire was involved in th e90’s.

As the source for the disqualification information was the head of investigations at the Insolvency Service, it would seem there is some explaining to be done. Especially as Whyte is also associated with two FSA-regulated entities, Pritchard Stockbrokers and Merchant House Group.

vinibhoy – would this be the same pat nevin who went to the scottish parliament to grass on celtic fans for singing reb songs, the same man who hurled a pre-rehearsed rant against us at the cup final even though all that had been sung was the BOTOB and the soldier’s song, the same man who has been SILENT as the huns habitually sing songs of religious and racial hatred?

NO – this man is NOT WELCOME! He can go to hell for what he’s done to further his media career at my beloved club’s expense.

There aren’t words I can use on this blog to describe my contempt for that odious reptile, and I’d rather cut my hand off than shake his.

Wee Gord – the converse of nevin in that he is a man who started out as a hibs fan but now truly adores our club and knows what it stands for – is on question of sport, think I’ll go and watch it.

    ………………………………………………………………..

Reading back and I endorse evry word you say. What type of Celtic Supporter goes out of his way to announce to the world that he is no longer a Celtic supporter because some supporters were singing Irish Rebel Songs at a game which he attended with his son. They’ve been doing it since I was a boy, Pat. I used to sing the songs myself when I was younger but opt not to do so now because the make up of our support has evolved. I still sing the songs in privacy but not at Celtic Park. I wish the rest of the support would do as I do but I’m not going to go into print in a book or in the press or in the meeja and say that I am no longer a Celtic supporter. Pat, you are a pseud – with a face like a well-skelped arse.

  18. Professor Green is with Neil Lennon @ 21:43

I was a bit hastey to post that, as i’m not having a go at you. The word “snarl” is one that the meeja have conditioned this country into associating with Lenny. Every manager gets angry during a football game, but for some reason, “snarling” became the parithet attributed to our Manager’s name. I know it’s not your intention but i can’t help associating it with the “He brings it on himself” description that even some armchair Celtic fans still use. Hate the word, amigo. But your point was good – Lenny showed a bit more fire tonight than he has in recent times :)

Can I get Lenny’s half time team talk for my kids!!?

Come on the hoops.. Step by step..

Incidentally I’m certain at half time Rob “sectarian singing could be heard” MacLean, had a wee Snyde dig at Dan. , for talking to 4 th official, saying he was trying to get OG cancelled.. Snyde rodent! Mon the hoops…

don’t you think hibs fans will be gutted with the result?

don’t you think the interviewer was reflecting in his interviews just what the supporters of each team were thinking?

is screaming “HUN!” at any perceived slight against us the Celtic way?

  23. I wonder just how better it will be for the Bhoys when there is a settled team and Neil can pick his best eleven?

Sure, with a new management team and a fledgling team we’ll have set-backs but there is room for reasonable perspective………..

The Hunderminers should review their tactics as often as the swap monikers.

BBC Sport Scotland is hun-infested. I was defending the BBC 18 months ago before seeing the light with regards to BBC Sport Scotland.

Contrary to what i thought before, the BBC have been more guilty of “conditioning” and under-mining our manager than even the odious DR. This became evident to me when Lenny became our manager. I still think BBC Scotland itself is a different kettle of fish, but the sports dept is being run by odious huns who payed as much a part in the smear campaign against Lenny as every other tabloid/junk radio phone-in hack.

Either Traynor is the source of the odious smell, or someone in higher management. But it is undeniable.

Are you honestly questioning that??? I was genuinely uncomfortable that after a great win, Nevin and McLean the comedy duo would have another rehearsed attack on our support.

You trying to wind me up, cos it’s working…..?

    Taken from celticunderground.net:

Mark Smith is the Deputy News Editor of the Daily Record. He had a twitter account and is a Heart of Midlothian fan.

On May 11th 2011 Celtic’s manager Neil Lennon was attacked at Tynecastle by Hearts fan, John Wilson.

The next day, fellow Hearts fan and Deputy News Editor Smith tweeted:

    Embrasmitty

“@brianjaffa I’ve invited a ringer to play for us. Good Jambo. Goes by the name of John Wilson…”

This was criticised by Celtic officials but the tweet was not removed and remained, unaltered.
