This time next week Celtic will have played two competitive games, both at home, and we will have a chance to properly assess preseason preparations. Even if victories are achieved against HJK Helsinki and Aberdeen the challenges for the remainder of the month, with at least four and possibly five games away from Celtic Park, with the possibility of only one home game, in the final Champions League qualifying round, will ensure Celtic are tested to their limit.
Two trips to the Highlands ahead of the Champions League qualifiers would be an unwelcome distraction. Maybe an occasion for the youth and fringe players.
Let me know if you want to advertise in the forthcoming issue of CQN Magazine, celticquicknews@gmail.com.

Sixteen roads to Golgotha
Samaras is never a centre forward, never ever. He’s a left sided ‘enigma’ who’s main attribute is a right back knows about as much as what he is going to do next as sammi himself, and he can carry a ball up the pitch.
Is broonie fit by the way??
Same team that started against Inter, please
Spain denied a stonewaller dodgy ref lol
Sixteen – you’re showing Helsinki too much respect, we should have a more attacking line up for Wednesday, do the business at home and then close it down in the return leg.
Injuries will definately determine Wednesday’s starting eleven, especially Commons who should start ahead of Forrest.

Yes. Winter. Less than perfect playing surfaces (and that’s summer). Long bus journeys. Ally’s drivin’ no the best. And thank God for satnav.
sevco. The never ending joke. :)
I enjoyed yesterdays game too. Inter looked rusty but it was an entertaining game – as entertaining as friendlies get.
Thought Inter could have done the decent thing though and pulled a player to even it up when we went down to 10. :)))

I would hope that not having every point a hostage to Rangers would mean that we could be more cavalier in our playing style. We’ll need a bit more excitement this year. If it’s not to come from the ultimate destination of the League then it could come from a bit of recklessness in going forward.

Hooper is a great finisher, but Samaras brings different dimensions to our game.
If we do go with one up-front then it has got to be Sammi,he will run their defense ragged.

The creation of SPL2 in time for next season (13/14) is an inevitability. The players they are supposedly trying to sign are to try to get them into SPL1 in 2 years. They know this is happening, they’ve been told thisis happening. A grubby little backroom deal has been done between them and Doncaster/Regan (with Ogilvie being the man behind it) for the benefit of them.
It will be spun as a brave new dawn for scottish football by the footballing authorities and the compliant media, but the supporters of all other clubs will know exactly what it is.
That was some scintilating tactical football genius on display up in wherever it was today. We must sell this brand of genius to the world and show them exactly how the game should be played.

Maybe. I hope not. Some of the SFL chairmen have said in no uncertain terms that they want a 42 team solution. We will see.

Agreed, so maybe your team is better suited to the away leg?

The lone striker does not necessarily mean that i am being negative mate.We get at them down the flanks,Victor siting just in front of the defense, providing cover for Adam and Emilio to storm down the wings.Beram is our ball winner in the centre of midfield.
It’s pointless putting in crosses from the left and the right,if Gary Hooper is your striker.
I’m really hoping Kris is fit for Wed, I will be really disappointed if he misses out. i like Gary Hoopeer, but I don’t think he gambles enough for a striker. He is, too often, missing from the six yard box when the ball comes across. However, I agree that Sammi should be out left not centre.

Possibly mate. But you do agree that’s a very strong first eleven?
Just a pity there is no Ki available,he would be our play-maker.
Nobody beats us at home anyway,so it doesn’t really matter.Don’t get me wrong,Athletico narrowly did,but they were a class outfit.
We are going to turn that Finnish mob upside down, and drop them on their head’s,regardless of who starts,or who doesn’t.
Stick your CQN badges I just got a Continental Celtic Supporters badge today!

The only thing that will stop us progressing past Helsinki is rustiness. These games come too soon for all Scottish sides and we need to either think about summer football or an early July start to our league.
In saying that, if we play as well as we did first half yesterday we should be ok

If we go with your team selection,we will probably end up with another Partizan Belgrade scenario on our hands.

Poland absolutely hammer Italy in the final set.
They played to a really high standard and may have peaked too soon.
Korek and Bartman were great but it was an all round team performance in front of a great crowd.
How good are the Polish fans.

If we are forced to sell Victor, then he should be sold to the highest bidder.I would be looking at a fee of in the region of between £12-15million plus a clause that we get 10% of any future transfer.
Even at that,we are being robbed,as he is worth double that.
Good Evening Bhoys & Ghirls

Victor is the business. No doubt.
Pen
Big fish eats little fish i suppose, sure we stole him from that Belgian shower.
Probably the most talented footballer we have had at the club in modern times.
This is really funny Peter Lawwell laughing at Sevco..
Aldo @gauldygauld
“@UnluckyRangers: Peter Lawwell responds to Charles Greens “bigotry” comment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFLw9AgChzw&feature=youtube_gdata_player” Absolutely hysterical!!
Went out to watch the Spanish game, had a few beers with Andre Terron, played for Granada late 70’s, early 80’s cracking bloke, tis a shame the drink has got the better of him, I digress, first glimpse of aggro tonight, someone threw a glass of beer at the tele, they were so disgusted with the referee, and someone did mention that he might have been scottish.
