WEE Jay Beatty proved to be the most popular winner of the Premiership Goal of the Month award after a remarkable 97 per cent of the votes going to him for his penalty against Hamilton at half-time in the January competition.
Never has a half time interval been so enjoyable at Celtic Park as the wee charismatic guy entertained Celtic Park. Even the Aberdeen support clapped him. 
The Lurgan Bhoy was at Paradise today with his to pick up his award which was presented by Charlie Mulgrew. He was also presented with a special Golden Boot gifted by Celtic FC, by his dad and the Celtic Park crowd celebrated as Jay took another penalty against the Hoops’ Development Squad goalkeeper, Leo Fasan. There was never any doubt as Jay stepped up to send the young keeper – who we hear is very highly regarded at the club – the wrong way, just as Leigh Griffiths would do early in the second half.
