ODIN HOLM is waiting for the green light to complete a loan deal to MLS outfit Los Angeles FC.
Celtic’s Norwegian midfielder is expecting to get the okay as soon as he receives his visa, according to Sky Sports.
The highly-rated youngster, who will be 22 later this month, is searching for game-time and is anticipating being involved Stateside for the entire season which ends in October.
Brendan Rodgers has sympathy with Holm’s situation and will not stand in the way of a long-term temporary transfer, as CQN reported last month.
Holm arrived at the champions in June 2023 in a £3million switch from Valerenga, but has struggled at Parkhead and has managed only 16 appearances for the club, with just three this season amounting to a total of 24 minutes on the pitch.
Rodgers has strength in depth in midfield following his addition of Paulo Bernardo at £3.5million from Benfica after the Portuguese playmaker’s impressive season-long loan.
The Hoops gaffer then splashed a record £11million to land Arne Engels from Augsburg on deadline day before completing the summer moves with the £1million recruitment of Luke McCowan from Dundee.
Rodgers has already kick-started his winter clear-out with Stephen Welsh agreeing a short-term switch to Belgian side KV Mechelen while Honduran international wingers Luis Palma has been linked with La Liga club Rayo Vallecano.
