OSAZE URHOGHIDE’S proposed short-term loan move to Dundee has stalled.

Celtic’s 21-year-old Dutch defender is in no rush to commit his immediate future to the Dens Park club and has options across the border, as CQN reported during the week.

Ange Postecoglou has sanctioned the temporary transfer for the versatile back-four performer in an effort to get game-time as he did with Liam Shaw, who arrived from Sheffield Wednesday at the same time as Urhoghide, with the midfielder spending the remainder of the campaign at Motherwell.

WELCOME TO CELTIC…Osaze Urghide on the day he arrived at Parkhead in the summer.

Tayside boss James McPake, speaking to the Courier, admitted: “We spoke to Celtic regarding Osaze.

“It’s got to the point where we have spoken to the player, spoken to the agent and it looked like it was going to happen.

“It has stalled unfortunately, at the minute.”

The Dens gaffer is likely to make another bid for Urhoghide whose solitary appearance came in the 3-2 Europa League Group G win over Real Betis in Glasgow last month.

League One side Morecambe, managed by ex-Fir Park boss Stephen Robinson, are also keen to get the youngster on loan until the end of the campaign.
