HOOPS ‘FEARLESS’ THREAT

BRENDAN RODGERS has been warned Celtic’s Israeli rivals will be “fearless” at Parkhead tonight.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu fired out the threat before the £20million-plus Champions League play-off first leg.
The player, a Nigerian international team-mate of Efe Ambrose, insisted his team-mates are still on a high after beating Greek champions Olympiakos in the previous round.
Ogu said: “Reaching this level of qualification takes a lot of extraordinary hard work for every individual in the team as well as the fans and the club as a whole.
“We are proud of what we are doing and that’s why we are here at this stage.

“Celtic is another top team who are familiar with Champions League competition and they equally have good players, but we are fearless of any threat.

“They are already under pressure because of the threat we possessed against Olympiakos. We just need to keep that focus of doing it right again.

“We have always been respectful of our opponents and we will do the same thing with Celtic.

“Football is all about 90 minutes, but we always hope to get results in those minutes.
“As for me, I believe in our dream and I believe we can do it against Celtic.
“They can under-rate us at their own peril.”
