HOOPS FLOP HEADS FOR HAMMERS

DAVIE MOYES is preparing to snap up Celtic flop Armstrong Oko-Flex for West Ham.

The 19-year-old forward was signed for the Hoops by Brendan Rodgers from the Arsenal Academy in the summer of 2019, but failed to make an impact at Parkhead.

Oko-Flex was brought into the first team in January after 13 players were forced to quarantine following the ill-fated Dubai trip when Christopher Jullien tested positive for Covid.

He played in the 1-1 draw with Hibs and the scoreless stalemate against Livingston, both at Parkhead, but the Dubliner made little impression.

It was no surprise when the Republic of Ireland youth international was not offered an extension on his contract when it expired last month.

GREEN FOR GO…Armstrong Oko-Flex is heading for West Ham.

However, Oko-Flex is now in London and is preparing to finalise a move to Moyes’ Premier League outfit, according to a report in the Glasgow Times.

The youngster was on the brink of a switch to Championship outfit Huddersfield Town in January before the club pulled the plug at the eleventh hour on deadline day.

West Ham, though, could provide the platform for Oko-Flex to try again across the border.
