CELTIC striker Johnny Kenny is poised for his second loan move this season.
The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international joined the champions in January in a £500,000 switch from Sligo Rovers.
Kenny’s arrival was overshadowed by Ange Postecoglou’s triple swoop on the J-League when he brought in Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi while Matt O’Riley also joined a few days later in a £1.5million deal from English third-tier outfit MK Dons.
HOOP HOOP HOORAY…Johnny Kenny on the day he joined Celtic in January this year.
The youngster was a prolific goalscorer with the League of Ireland club and joined Queen’s Park in the summer to get some game-time.
Kenny has made 10 league appearances for the Hampden side, but is still awaiting his first goal. It looks as though the teen ace will be on the move again when the transfer window opens next month.
The slim hitman looks to be destined for Shamrock Rovers, according to a report in The Independent.
Former club Sligo are also interested in taking their ex-player on a temporary contract, but it appears more likely Kenny is heading for the Dublin club.
