CELTIC have been linked with a swoop for Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson before Friday night’s midnight deadline.
The 24-year-old Swedish raider has been in impressive form in the Ashton Gate outfit’s push for Premier League promotion with three goals and 10 assists.
Eliasson has already been watched by Hoops scouts, according to a report in the Sunday Mail.
The flanker is out of contract at the end of the season although it appears the Championship outfit have a further year’s option on him.
Eliasson, a dual national who also holds Brazilian citizenship, moved to the English side in August 2017 in a £1.8million deal from Norkopping.
Serie A outfit Lazio, beaten twice by Neil Lennon’s men in the Europa League Group E this season, and Spain’s Villarreal have also looked at the player in recent months.
Neil Lennon has admitted he hopes to bring in two more players in this transfer window and has also acknowledged the need for a new winger with Scott Sinclair moving to Preston North End and Lewis Morgan heading for David Beckham’s MLS outfit Inter Miami.
