HOOPS MIDFIELDER ON MOVE

CELTIC midfielder Ewan Henderson could be heading for the Parkhead exit this month.

Championship outfit Dundee are hoping to persuade Neil Lennon to allow the Scotland Under-21 international to join up at Dens Park to aid their promotion push.

Henderson, 20, has been used sparingly by the champions this season, but will get game-time on Tayside with the divisions outwith the top flight still able to sign players until the end of February.

The skilful youngster, who had a temporary spell at Ross County last season, has made only three substitute appearances in this campaign and 15 overall in his Hoops career.

He was recalled from the Dingwall club early with the champions concerned at the lack of first-team opportunities following just six starts and 10 appearances in all for the Highlanders. Hoops boss Lennon is keen for the skilful kid to get a run and he is likely to get that at Dens Park.

Henderson played an hour in the 3-2 Europa League victory over Lille in December and came off the bench in draws against Hibs and Livingston last month.

His older brother Liam also came through the ranks at Celtic and, after a successful loan spell at Hibs, moved to Italy to sign  for Serie A outfit Hellas Verona before moving to Lecce.
