CELTIC target Niclas Eliasson is NOT for sale in this transfer window, according to his agent.
The champions have been linked with Bristol City’s Swedish winger, as CQN reported yesterday.
Reports indicated the Hoops had already scouted the player, but the Championship side insist the flanker is going nowhere.
Eliasson’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya has revealed the Ashton Gate club, still hopeful of winning a place in the Premier League promotion play-off spots, won’t consider offers for the forward who cost them £1.8million from Norkopping.
Asked if the player could move this month, the representative, in a Daily Record report, replied: “No, it’s going to be difficult. Bristol want to keep him for their aims to move up.
“Then he has an option in his contract the club will use.
“Interest comes from big clubs and major leagues and clubs are looking to buy him now. but Bristol has said no.
“That’s all I can say right now. But in the summer window, something big could happen to Niclas.”
Serie A outfit Lazio, beaten twice by Celtic in the Europa League Group E games this season, and Spanish side Villarreal have also been monitoring the 23-year-old attacker in this campaign.
