HOOPS WAIT FOR LUSTIG

MIKAEL LUSTIG will be given every chance by Brendan Rodgers to prove he is fit to face Hibs at Easter Road this afternoon.

The Swedish international right-back had to go off with a first-half head knock in the 2-1 defeat to RB Salzburg at Parkhead on Thursday night.

Kristoffer Ajer, making his first appearance since suffering a fractured eye socket in the goalless draw at Livingston last month, replaced the 32-year-old defender for the remainder of the game.

Midfielder Ryan Christie, who was carried off on a stretcher, has an ankle injury and will miss out against Neil Lennon’s men.

The champions can regain pole position in the Premiership if they win in Edinburgh.

Kilmarnock beat Dundee 3-1 at Rugby Park yesterday to take top spot a point ahead of Rodgers’ men, but have played three more games.

SQUAD: Gordon, Lustig, Hendry, Simunovic, Benkovic, Tierney, Rogic, McGregor, Ntcham, Brown, Sinclair, Forrest, Edouard, Bain, Gamboa, Izaguirre, Hayes, Morgan.
