Hoping to see Jullien on the bench

177

Neil Lennon had the chance to assess players on return to Lennoxtown from international duty this morning but there will be little chance of any meaningful training before Saturday’s game at Easter Road.  Before the international break, the manager suggested Christopher Jullien could be back in contention for this game; it is an enticing prospect.

Christopher was key to much of the success we had last season; without his performances in the Europa League and, of course, that League Cup Final goal, the season would be remembered differently.  Despite that, there is reason to be cautious about his return.  His early season performances last year (Motherwell) and this (Kilmarnock) were well below the standard he reached when fully fit.  Not every player is a natural athlete, some take an extra three weeks to get match sharp, I suspect Chris falls into this category.

Easter Road is a big pitch and Hibernian have not been as encumbered as Celtic by international absences, so they will be rested and ready for the visit of the champions.  Chris has not played in seven weeks, the equivalent of preseason, I hope we see him on the bench.

  7. aye, i was filling up myself, there is something so special about the Celtic christmas advert, I think whoever produces these really gets what it means to us, and a special mention for Neil, his melodic voice, like the great irish poets (well no quite, but wonderful all the same).

Are they away to shops before new Regs/Guidelines kick in at 6pm or is it 6.10pm. Why be so precise.

  11. The content and chronologies of the SNP government’s differing responses to Covid breaches by Celtic players and huns having been examined to the extent that they have it should be obvious to even the most ardent and committed of the McGlashins that one side has been afforded more favourable treatment than the other.

    The question is why.

Is it unconscious bias? Favouring the one seen, for all its issues, as essentially a Scottish institution, over the other regarded by many as more Irish than Scottish?

Or is it part of an attempt to win over more of the hun support to the noble and defining cause of Scottish independence?

    I suspect it’s a bit of both.

turn the cover inside oot first, then put your hands inside right upto each corner and grab a corner each of the duvet and pull it through and give it a shake

  13. There was a boy called SMART at THE MUNGO when i was there. FARMER KELLY used to call him NOTSO. Well could that apply to PRITTI PATEL.

She says she was not aware that she was bullying staff and none of them said they were being bullied. A woman collapsed because she was being bullied by NOTSO.

I DID NOT KNOW I WAS STRANGLING THE MAN BECAUSE HE DID NOT TELL ME I WAS STRANGLING HIM.

Bang on – great post by the way. Was brought up in the West coast of Scotland, now living on the East coast, a good week for my Da was 2 late nights and a Saturday morning, he was made up when his overtime request was confirmed equally most upset / stay out of his road if there was no overtime.

At the time I remember thinking wow – this is what makes you happy! Was determined to avoid the same fate and thankfully I did. Very lucky to have been born in the 50s so when the oil industry came along I was the right age.
