HOW THE LEAGUES WERE WON: PART 4

CELTIC 5 DUNDEE 0 (May 2, 2015)

LEIGH GRIFFITHS, Scott Brown, Kris Commons, James Forrest and Nir Bitton shared the goals to put new manager Ronny Deila’s team on course for a fourth consecutive success.

The Norwegian had replaced Neil Lennon in the summer and lifted the silverware at the first time of asking. It was yet another sweet league excursion for the unstoppable champions. The Dens Park visitors, with current Hoops No.1 Scott Bain in goal, had no answer to a pulverising Friday night performance from the title kings who maintained a high tempo for the entire 90 minutes and simply overran their opponents.

The following afternoon, closest challengers Aberdeen lost 1-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice which left the Celts 11 points clear with three games to play. The title was in the bag.
