Let us be clear, if you are found to have transgressed an SFA rule and a judicial panel is asked to apportion a punishment, you have absolutely no rights to character assassinate or question the independence of the panel. Nor in doing so, do you, or the Scottish public (good grief!) have a right to try to ‘out’ the panel.
Ally McCoist prepared for a Rangers TV interview yesterday, not normally an environment subject to the kind of spontaneous and offhand comments you get post-match, decrying the work of the “supposedly independent judicial panel”.
The SFA must take whatever steps necessary to protect those involved in their judicial process and must ensure that any appeal by Rangers is heard on the evidence of the case alone.
Despite much protest, no one has actually claimed Rangers are innocent. That being the case, the judicial panel must apply appropriate punishment. The option to revoke Rangers membership of the SFA remains open to the panel – something that would be impossible to avoid if the club were found guilty of subverting over 700 games of football and a decade worth of trophies.
These matters are not going away. Take your medicine.

Rangers sign players on the back of promises to pay other clubs, promises which are never fulfilled (Bartley/Weiss/Jelavic/Wallace). Response from MSPs, radio commentators, the first minister even, “let them do a CVA, pennies in the pound, too big to fail. Rule out liquidation”.
Rangers subsequently banned from signing any players for one year as a result of breaching the rules. Response from the same individuals, howls of derision. Okay, if the player registration charge is too harsh, how about giving Wallace back to hearts so as they can either play him or sell him to a club which might, you know, actually pay for him. Do the same with all the points you acquired with jelavic, Weiss, Bartley and anybody else you didn’t pay for/haven’t paid for, and then we’ll talk about letting you sign players again.
Also interesting to note JT’s mention of prejudice and self interest framing the SFA’s decisions….hmmmmm, wonder what the reaction would be from MSM if NFL made similar accusations…oh wait.

Rangers (or at least D&P) know who were on the panel because they were represented at the hearing over the days it took place.
If Sally does not know then he was not told (if he did not ask). Is he just miffed because he is out of the loop? Remember when this admins were first appointed a few/several months ago that he was to be consulted/involved in every step of the process.
Does this really just mean that the game is up and he is just irrelevant to the process at this point because L is the only game in town.

You know what I found distasteful? Watching Lee Wallace contribute to a win at Tynecastle at the weekend against his old club when his new club haven’t and won’t pay for him.
In fact I thought that was criminal.
There should be a rule that when you enter admin any player bling still not paid for should be ineligible to be fielded for your club. In fact they should probably be returned to the original club, just like if you had bought a car and didn’t keep your payments up.
