HUGHES TIPS HOOPS FOR TITLE

0
JOHN HUGHES, the Inverness Caley Thistle manager, is tipping his former club Celtic to win their fifth Premiership title in a row.
His Scottish Cup winners are ready to take on the Hoops’ nearest challengers Aberdeen in the Highlands tonight in another crucial encounter.
The Dons will be looking for a win to move them back level on points with Ronny Deila’s side, alberit miles behind on goal difference and with a game more played.
Hughes admitted he admired the Pittodrie side’s achievements, but, despite the Hoops’ recent inconsistency, he still thinks the Glasgow giants will retain the title.
He said: “I hope it goes all the way to the wire – it’s great for Scottish football. It’s an inspiration to everyone else. I still think Celtic are the best team and I still think they’ll see it out.

“Tom Boyd was saying last week they should not panic too much as they’re still top of the league and still in the Scottish Cup and I agree with him.

“Celtic, on their day, are a wonderful football team. Like any team, they have ups and downs, but Celtic have got too much in their locker.”
