‘I ADMIRE CELTIC’, JELLE ‘ICE CREAM’ VOSSEN

GENK striker Jelle ‘Ice Cream’ Vossen has revealed he would be interested in joining Celtic.

The 26-year-old admitted: “Celtic is a club I admire — it is a big and great club. When I was younger, I watched a lot of their games in the Champions League.

“Celtic have had great teams and some Belgian players have been over there already. We just have to wait and see what happens and what the future will bring. I will talk to Genk in the coming days.”

The £2million-rated Belgium international spent last season loan at Middlesbrough and helped them to the Premier Play-Off Final where they lost to Norwich City at Wembley.

Vossen hit eight goals and was one of Boro’s successes as they marched to within 90 minutes of the top flight.
The Riverside club are interested in taking the frontman on a permanent basis while Sheffield Wednesday and Belgian outfit Club Brugge are also monitoring the situation.
Hoops boss Ronny Deila is looking for more firepower in his attack with John Guidetti quitting the SPFL champions at the end of his season-long loan from Manchester City.
Teemu Pukki has been offloaded to Brondby after spending the campaign on loan at the Danes and Amido Balde will be joining him through the Parkhead exit.
There is also continued speculation that Anthony Stokes will team up again with former boss Neil Lennon at Bolton.
