TOMAS ČVANCARA has completed the formalities to seal his loan move to Celtic until the end of the season.
The eight times-capped Czech Republic striker’s move from Borussia Monchengladbach was completed while interim boss Martin O’Neill was with the squad in Italy for tonight’s Europa League game against Bologna.
The contract contains an option to buy the towering frontman who cost £9.2million when he joined the Bundesliga club from Sparta Prague in 2023.
The new Bhoy, who will almost certainly be included in O’Neill’s squad for the crunch Premiership encounter with Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday, is eager to hit the ground running and told the club’s website: “It’s a massive honour to sign for this club.

The interim gaffer urgently requires reinforcements in his frontline with Johnny Kenny and Shin Yamada as his only recognised No.9s who are available to him at the moment.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who was signed on UEFA deadline day in September after being released by Sevilla, has been hampered with hamstring problems and has not been seen since he limped off in the first-half of the dismal 3-1 Premier Sports League Cup Final loss to St Mirren at Hampden on December 14.
The former Manchester City and Leicester City hitman has sat out the last eight games and, of course, will be missing again tonight in Italy.
