“I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers”

851

“I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers” screams the BBC headline ahead of this evening’s interview by Chris McLaughlin of the Last King of Rangers, Our Hero, Craig Whyte.  Whyte has retained private contact with a couple of journalists but he has previously declined earnest requests to go on the record given the level of investigation he is under.  The wrong word could be costly.

But here it is, “I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers”.  An unequivocal assertion.

The interview will be broadcast on Reporting Scotland and Newsnight Scotland this evening and has been trailed by every outlet in the land (first trailed by Phil Mac Giolla Bhain last night).  There appears to be genuine surprise in many news outlets.  CQN’ers will be busy checking this this is, in fact, news, not a rehash of an earlier established fact (it is genuine news).

It has been a few months since Our Hero was The Only Show in Town but he can still put on a captivating performance.

Charles Green has yet to respond but he will.  He has no choice.  He could categorically deny the claim, citing Whyte’s court-established reliability, but to do that he’ll have to calculate that corroborating material will not emerge.  The wrong word now could torpedo hopes of a successful share issue next month

A bombastic statement from well-polished PR people is what’s needed.  I hope we’re not disappointed.

“I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers”.  Kaboom!

Surely BDO must now take appropriate action recovery of all asstes

  6. Things WILL happen to the scumbags. These are the exceedingly slow wheels of justice grinding.

The truth is there, hiding in plain sight. The emperor’s new clothes. The elephant in the room (no, not Sally, he’s just a greedy fat pig). The stench of wholesale corruption in the air.

No matter how they try to prop up a rotten stinking carcass, eventually it will disintegrate under the weight of its unsustainable instability.

Just wait ’til the muppets pump the requisite dosh into Chunky’s pockets, he pays Ticketus and himself, then the flogging of their ‘best’ players becomes an inevitability in January just to keep iPox from crumbling into toxic dust, and the prospect of EVER getting out of the 4th. tier becomes remote.

It’s almost enough to engender pity……

…..Nah! You are correct Big Mike : they are scumbags. They are the hun. They deserve everything they get.

Get Craigy a CQN badge : he almost deserves one.

  7. In amongst today’s great mirth I have been wondering about wee Oscar’s ongoing struggle.

Not been around much today…..busy busy busy. How’s he doin’?

  8. Will he ask him what he has done with the VAT/PAYE money from last season, and the Jelavic money ?

If Craigy does not have a CQN badge he’s the only guy in the western world CRC and Bundoran Bhoy never caught up with!

  10. Just saw the statement from Duff & Phelps regarding our hero today.

Basically they state that CW is not to be trusted as he is under

investigation,an investigation they have contributed to.

Eh ? No mention of the fact that they themselves are being

    investigated ?

This whole charade is a farce.

    Good Evening Folks,

The Ballymote to Celtic Park cycle is the first of a series of events to promote the cause of 1254125. There will be a whole series of events– both club initiated and fan initiated over the course of the next year or so, with many planned events being very much geared towards fan participation around the globe– wherever you are, who ever you are and when ever you want to take part.

The cycle for November will have and added significance– more details to follow— and I can confirm that there are certain other initiatives being worked on which will have a major importance to the Celtic family wherever they may be.

What is being specifically targeted here is poverty. Poverty that is on our doorstep, around the corner, across the road and down the street. While there will be many fundraisers for Africa and Asia, for Cancer and other worldwide charities, What the Celtic Charity Foundation want to do is to literally walk in Walfrid’s footsteps and relive and revisit the very basic reasons for the idea behind Celtic Football Club.

From November onwards there will be initiatives that aim to help people in Scotland and Ireland who are not quite as fortunate as some of us.

The Homeless, those with special needs, those who need help with education or facilities in their local communities… all sorts of people who are not necessarily covered by the big national charities with high street shops, door to door collections, TV and advertising campaigns and so on.

The journey from Ballymote started long before 6th November 1887– it started when Andrew Kerrins left his home village and began his work and his mission. The Meeting in St Mary’s Church Hall on that November night was the formal constitution of an idea that began before then, but which had not come to anything other than a series of discussions.

6th November saw those discussions turn into action.

125 years on, there have been further discussions. Discussions that have lead to plans and plans that have lead to action.

In due course there will be many activities and calls to action which will hopefully show just how amazing the supporters of Celtic Football Club are.

This is not just about raising money– although that is a big goal. It is about identifying as a community, about making a difference to those who we have never met and probably never will meet. It is about having fun, meeting with old friends and making new friendships along the way. It is about you, and me, our kids, our parents, our neighbours, our ideals and our hopes and dreams— both for ourselves and perhaps more importantly …for others. Maybe it is also about introducing Celtic and what Celtic stands for to a whole host of people who know the name Celtic…. but who don’t know the History so to speak.

Ballymote to Celtic Park is the start of something— the introduction if you like.

There will be other things coming hard on the heels of the cycle— including just giving pages, specialist campaigns and events and a whole lot more.

However, if anyone has an idea for an event– large or small, daft or serious, local or in downtown very far away– then get in touch through Paul or Mark Cameron who is mentioned in Paul’s leader earlier today.

I will post regularly about this as and when plans can be released and matters come to fruition.

If you know the History…… then you know the future too.

    Cheers

  12. After spending last week and the weekend critically ill in ICU Oscar has managed to battle through AGAIN!

He was up out of bed yesterday and is feeling great today too. Our sincerest thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support we have received from all over the world!!

KEEP GOING OSCAR, you truly are a wee legend

  13. Asked if his relationship with Charles Green and Rangers was okay, he replied: “Yeah, sure.

“I think given the public perception of me, people are keen to distance themselves from me publicly.

“But I have no problem with the current management of Rangers.”

  14. Being some distance away, and not in possession of say, a helicopter, I cannot make it to the race night fundraiser, much though I’d like to. It’ll be a lot of fun. I know that.

But I can lump a few more quid into the pot. Gotta keep the train rollin’.

I have got fed up with the telly and as there is no real football on, so I have chosen to listen to a great fairy story on BBC Radio, there’s a funny wee troll on who sounds like a disney character, His language is a bit scary and he keeps talking about a team who are a financial basket case…………he also wanted to monetise the fan base………is that illegal or just something a bad man would do……he is the bad guy in this and probably if the bobbies get him he will get the gaol. Oooh there’s another green monster coming on soon !!! Help ma boab !! and a fat pig is with him. Ooooooo !
