KASPER HOGH will make his Celtic debut in the Premiership opener against Dundee at Parkhead on Monday evening – and the club’s record signing is looking forward to being “thrown into the fire.”
The £11million-plus Danish international striker is looking forward with extreme confidence to hitting the ground running after agreeing a four-year contract with the club having the option of a further 12 months.
Hogh, 25, who will wear the iconic No.9 shirt, finally ended days of speculation when he penned the deal after passing his medical in London yesterday.
The 6ft-plus frontman said: “I’m so happy. When I came into the room and saw the shirt, I was really excited.

“The history of the club is so big. I spoke with some people and with my family about the club.
“The feeling they had, and the feeling I had in my stomach, was that this was a really good match.”
Hogh, speaking to Celtic Player, added: “I like to be in the box and score goals, but I also want to help my team-mates defensively and work hard for the team.
“I’ve trained throughout the summer and I’ve already played league games in Norway, so I feel ready.
“I just want to get started and be thrown into the fire.”
The Hoops fans will be intrigued to see Hogh in his first appearance as Martin O’Neill’s men kick off their crusade for a sixth successive title after last term’s dramatic grand finale against Hearts who had been in pole position since September.
The Danish dangerman will also line up alongside fellow new Bhoy Camilo Duran, bought for £5.5million from Qarabag earlier this month, against Steven Pressley’s Tayside outfit on Flag Day.
Hogh collected an impressive 53 goals in 102 appearances for Bodo/Glimt and will aim to get off to a scoring start as he takes his bow in Paradise.
