‘I KNOW CELTIC INSIDE OUT,’ MILLER

LIVINGSTON player/boss Kenny Miller hopes to wreck Celtic’s opening-day Premiership Flag Day at Parkhead.

The former Sevco Rangers striker will take the newly-promoted side to the east end of Glasgow on Saturday and fully intends to put a dampener on the Hoops’ celebrations after last season’s seventh successive title triumph – and the completion of a historic double treble.

Miller, who quit Ibrox in the summer to take over from David Hopkins at the Lothians outfit, is planning on making life difficult for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

He said: “I’ve faced Celtic an awful lot over the past few years, so we know them inside out.

“It’s not what they are going to do, it’s whether you can put something in place to stop them.

“They are an excellent team, it is as simple as that. I watched them against Rosenborg and they beat a very good team quite easily, so we will have to go there and be right on our job.

“The detail will need to be right, but we have got a good week’s preparation for that now and off the back of a successful Betfred Cup campaign.”

Miller is hopeful his players thrive on the atmosphere generated by a 60,000 crowd and added: “It’s a big, big reward for the work they have put in the last two years and every single one of them fully deserves it.

“But they will come away with enjoying the experience if they go and give everything they have got and put the hard yards in and, hopefully, come away with something.”
