OLIVER SORENSEN took Celtic’s summer signings total to five when he agreed a season-long loan from Parma today.
The Danish midfielder, who cost the Serie A outfit £8.5million when he arrived from FC Midtjylland in August last year, is ready to hit the ground running at the champions.
The 24-year-old box-to-box performer said: “I feel lucky to be a part of this club now and I hope the style of play can suit me.
“It’s attacking football. They want to attack and they want to go forward. They want to push the opposing team down in their box.
“So, I hope I can contribute and help the team to do that.
“I love to attack, I love to run, I love to defend and I love to tackle, so I’m ready to give 100 per cent. I can’t wait to be at Celtic Park for the first time.”

It’s too early to say if Sorensen will be pitched straight into the squad for the Premiership visit of Aberdeen tomorrow night, but the Hoops fans won’t have too long to wait before they get a glimpse of the new Bhoy.
He admitted he had had a chat with ex-Celt Erik Sviatchenko, a former team-mate at Midtjylland, about the move.
Sorensen, speaking to CelticPlayer, continued: “I spoke to him and was messaging a bit. He congratulated me for this move and wished me good luck.
“I should call him in a few days to get all the good places to go and eat.”
Delighted boss Martin O’Neill added: “Oliver is someone with really good experience, playing at a high level in both Italy and Denmark.
“He has great energy, he is able to move really well up and down the pitch with strength and can play in a number of positions across the midfield.
“We are looking forward to working with him and think he can be an important player for us.”
With Arne Engels leaving for West Ham in a £22million deal and Paulo Bernardo moving to Gornik Zabreze in a season-long loan, O’Neill has been searching for recruits to strengthen the midfield.
Mika Baur arrived from SC Paderborn and now Sorensen will join him. Others are expected to follow.
Celtic have the option of making the Dane’s deal permanent at the end of the season.
Strikers Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran plus winger Hassiem Hassan have already been signed as the champions undergo a summer revamp.
