RANGERS have won just one of their eight Premiership outings in a dismal campaign after drawing 2-2 with Dundee United at Ibrox this afternoon.
The Govan club, who sacked Russell Martin after only 123 days in charge following a 1-1 stalemate at Falkirk just under a fortnight ago, had Under-19 coach Steven Smith in the dug-out for the visit of Jim Goodwin’s Tannadice outfit.
They had hoped to add to their solitary stoppage-time victory at Livingston, but it was misery yet again in Govan on this occasion.
Thelo Assgaard put the hosts ahead with a sizzling finish in the 25th minute, but the hopes of the home support of a runaway triumph were obliterated by a spirited revival from the visitors after the break.

IN THE IBROX HOT SEAT…caretaker boss Steven Smith.

HAVING THEIR SAY…fans’ message to the Ibrox board.
Kristjian Trapanovski levelled 11 minutes after the turnaround with a superb low sweeping drive from the edge of the box that eluded Jack Butland at his right-hand post.
The home side were still reeling from that blow when Craig Sibbald hammered United ahead in the 75th minute with a ferocious drive high into the net with the keeper helpless.
James Tavernier gave the Ibrox outfit a point with the leveller in the 87th minute.
Once again, boos and jeers echoed around the stadium at the final whistle.
