CELTIC have won the Scottish Cup a record 42 times.
A LATE goal from Adam Idah won the trophy for Brendan Rodgers’ team last season as they overcame Ibrox opposition 1-0 at Hampden on the iconic date of May 25.
IT WAS a second successive triumph after the team, managed for the last time by Ange Postecoglou, had beaten Inverness Caley Thistle 3-1 the previous term with goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Filipe Jota.

MARTIN O’NEILL got the ball rolling in his debut 2000/01 campaign with a 3-0 win over Hibs. Henrik Larsson (2) and Jackie McNamara scored the goals the sealed that season’s domestic clean sweep.
IT WAS the first time the treble had been achieved since Jock Stein’s side managed the feat in 1968/69. The Hoops routed Rangers 4-0 in the showpiece finale with goals from Billy McNeill, Bobby Lennox, George Connelly and Stevie Chalmers.
JOCK STEIN led Celtic to their first treble in the all-conquering crusade of 1966/67. Goals from Willie Wallace have them a 2-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final.
CELTIC have met Aberdeen seven times in Scottish Cup Finals and won four times. The Hoops have claimed 10 goals and conceded eight in the process.
BOTH teams made history in 1990 when the grand finale went to penalty-kicks for the first time after the match had ended 0-0 following extra-time. The Dons won 9-8 with central defender Brian Irvine hitting the winner with his first-ever spot-kick.
