If you want to know why this clubs is special…

The Celtic Supporters Association Rally in the Kerrydale Suite last night was a complete joy.  On the way out I remarked that the club was in good hands with the Association.  This was their 64th annual rally, over generations they have protected and cultured the unique spirit of our football club.

For me, it was the third opportunity in a week to hear the Thai Tims, who performed an excellent set.  Paul Lennon of the Good Child Foundation is a real inspiration and example to us all.

It was also a great opportunity to spend a few hours with many from the CQN community, always a treat.  I know one CQN’er who is going to think twice before digging up Tom (“get your facts right”) Boyd on the blog again, just in case our former treble winning captain reads it and goes looking for him on a night out.

To continue the spirit of what we are all about, on Saturday 19th May there is a charity dinner in Glasgow for The Andrea Kearney Fund, which supports women who are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy.  The fund in memory of Andrea, who was diagnosed while expecting her fifth child and died in 2008, aged 41.

It promises to be a great night for an important cause, I hope you can support it.  You can book tickets here.  I look forward to seeing you there.

You can buy a hard copy of the new issue of CQN Magazine via Magcloud here.

I’ve been told that if the new daly documentary doesn’t force the football authorities into action of Rangers then nothing will.

    Kevjungle ……your concern is heart-warming……LOL

  5. If I was sitting on a huge pile of cash I would take £70million of it and offer to buy each or a share of the football ground from each of the SPL clubs up to the total of their debt, obviously this would exclude rangers, reckon this would kill any argument on commercial benefits outweighing sporting integrity.

Pity I don’t have £70 million lying around at the moment!

    Very strange!

On twitter last night I saw Aberdeen fans and Inverness fans doin’ their nut about Newco, I don’t think Doncaster has got a clue about running the SPL or the massive fan opposition to this idea.

Hopefully he will get the bawtoeing he richly deserves!!

A lot of folks on here yesterday asking about Celtic’s silence so far, what about the Invisible Man Regan is he on his holidays or what??

  11. Re Yorkston,

He’s saying this now as Dunfermline are red-hot favourites to get relegated – so he voting on financial considerations, despite his guff re integrity

  12. The time is fast approaching, probably this week, for the SFA to step in and disband the SPL, creating a new league that will meet all of UEFA’s financial fair play and club registration rules.

If they don’t then scottish teams will be barred from europe and the national team barred from the world cup.

Time for Regan and EBT Ogilvie to grow a set, like their Swiss colleagues, and do what is right.

  13. Mullet and Co on

Yorkston has probably joined the dots the same as the rest of us and knows that the switcheroo is soon to be revealed.

Bill Miller will go out with a puff of smoke to reveal The Blue Knights.

Has Mark Daly made the link between these folk yet to bust the rancid lot?

Thank god for RTC, Paul67, Phil Macgiollabhain et al.

The last Daly documentary turned out to be mostly about Craig Whyte. Hopefully this one will go after Rangers

just listened back to SSB from yesterday and I picked up on something DK said regards newco 2012 getting a licence .

He said that ragers will apply for a licence from the SFA first then look for a league to play in ,we all know how the SPL will throw a party for them so that leaves the ball in the SFAs court .

If this is the case then the SFA will know that if they grant a licence (against their own rules ) then they will be responsible for the most corrupt act ever in the Scottish game .

I for one think they will not think twice about doing so .

Celtic need to get out of Scottish football ASAP it is the only answer .

The decisions being made today are only prolonging the death of a failed and tainted set up

  16. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!..Truth and Justice will always prevail on

Was just thinking……over the years the bhuns have cheated to the tune of circa £200m ……. In those circumstances, we’ve done no bad, eh ..?…

Come to think of it, so have the other SPL teams …….

Hang your heads in shame RFCIA / SPL / SFA / LL / MIB …….. You have let SCOTLAND down……and you are about to make things even worse……

    Billy Dodds in the Herald

NO-one seems to know for sure whether the entire Rangers squad can leave for free if their contracts are transferred to a ‘newco’ Rangers under Bill Miller, but I can tell you right now that every single one of them will be consulting his agent, lawyer or PFA Scotland delegate to find out.

PFA, Lawyers and agents all say the same thing billy the players can leave for free, its only you and your colleagues who dont get it, to thick is the MSM

I don’t believe it was Rangers as a group which did this, I think it was a one-man asset strip, but I warned a couple of years ago when it was Dundee that if you let them off with the 25-point penalty then every other club in the league could just go into administration, not pay their debts and start again.

Its not about belief or faith Mr Dodds, its the facts of at least 10 years of tax evasion and dual contracts by a club hell bent on success in any way it could, all condoned by the board and its chairman who actively pursued the ruinous financial strategy, what ever happened to the Glasgow Herald? how do sink to that nonsense like Dodds piece today.

    SPL Rules:

“H5 If any Club in the League ceases to operate or to be member of the League for any reason, its playing record in the League may be expunged and the number of relegation places from the League shall be reduced accordingly.”

  26. “Thank god for RTC, Paul67, Phil Macgiollabhain et al.”

Yep, I said before, if this had happened pre internet days, we would mostly all have been none the wiser, and had to rely on the MSM’s lies, I tip my hat to these guys.
