The Celtic Supporters Association Rally in the Kerrydale Suite last night was a complete joy. On the way out I remarked that the club was in good hands with the Association. This was their 64th annual rally, over generations they have protected and cultured the unique spirit of our football club.
For me, it was the third opportunity in a week to hear the Thai Tims, who performed an excellent set. Paul Lennon of the Good Child Foundation is a real inspiration and example to us all.
It was also a great opportunity to spend a few hours with many from the CQN community, always a treat. I know one CQN’er who is going to think twice before digging up Tom (“get your facts right”) Boyd on the blog again, just in case our former treble winning captain reads it and goes looking for him on a night out.
To continue the spirit of what we are all about, on Saturday 19th May there is a charity dinner in Glasgow for The Andrea Kearney Fund, which supports women who are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy. The fund in memory of Andrea, who was diagnosed while expecting her fifth child and died in 2008, aged 41.
It promises to be a great night for an important cause, I hope you can support it. You can book tickets here. I look forward to seeing you there.

The majority of SPL chairmen prefer to have the blue pound over sporting integrity. Were Celtic to be in a mess similar to the huns then they’d take the opposite view.

Like yourself I can see both sides of the argument regarding the huns punishment and the Celtic boards response to it.
The one thing that struck me was if the Celtic Board were to ignore the wishes of the majority of their ‘customers’ (ie us, the support) they run the risk of a major meltdown of their customer base.
Think Ratners (no, not the huns)…their CEO/owner publicly admitted that they sold cheap crap to the gormless. How long did Ratners last after that?
The Celtic board if they ignore us, and they have previous experience of doing this, could conspire to make a great club worthless.
I am waiting, impatiently, on Celtic Plcs response to the cheating and lying carried out by the hun, SFA, SPL, refereeing body and the whole damn Scottish establishment. Once that is forthcoming I will decide whether to continue to support Celtic.

i.e. dundee united, hibs, aberdeen, hearts
1.5 million for domestic t.v vs. 10 million for tickets and merchandising and soon the banks will have a change of mind, cause they won’t get any money otherwise.

I hope you are 100% correct. The only agenda i have is i want the Celtic board to do the right thing for the support and club which is one and the same in my opinion. If the Celtic support does not want the Zombie Hun FC in the SPL the board is beholden to reflect that opinion. If they lose the battle ‘fair enough’ but at least they will have tried and will have fought the good fight – we can all accept that i assume.

This is a good idea we have one game before the meeting on Monday.
The trouble is it’s 17.45 the day before the game which gives us a window of about 19 hours,the assocation and the affilation buy there tickets in bulk for this game.
We need everyone to get behind this idea,if you have contacts in these groups get on to them tell there members to walk out. Get it up on every Celtic website asap.
Everyone going to the game tomorrow spread the words on your buses etc. We can debate the life out of this situation on here till the cows come home,know it’s time for action.
We are GLASGOW CELTIC if the will is there amongst the fans we can make this happen.

To allow Newcheats into the SPL will make Scotland an international laughing stock, it will render the SPL impotent in applying the rules.
Why should any team adhere to the rules when one team can act with impunity.
What is the point in trying to win a sporting event when the ultimate results are predetermined. I mean over decades rather than one year.
I’m not looking for Celtic to try any stunts that will damage the club, but to clearly and publicly make the case for sporting integrity.
I don’t know what I’ll do if the cheats are allowed back into the SPL, but how Celtic act will go a long way to helping me make the decision, as will the opinions of others, here and elsewhere.
