‘I’M DELIGHTED,’ SAYS BAIN AFTER 4-YEAR DEAL

SCOTT BAIN has signed a four-year deal at Celtic after impressing Brendan Rodgers.

The keeper arrived in an emergency loan deal from Dundee after Craig Gordon had injured a knee in the 1-0 win over Hibs on January 27.

Bain played in the goalless draw against Kilmarnock and CQN advised you yesterday to look out for some movement for the 26-year-old shotstopper.

He made his debut in the 3-2 victory at Ibrox in March and has kept three clean sheets in six appearances for the Hoops.

Bain said: “I’m delighted. It’s more than I obviously expected when I first came in. I’m over the moon.

“I don’t think it could have gone any better. It’s funny, there are a lot of little things that went my way to get to Celtic on loan and then to play the game against Rangers, which sent me on my way to this four-year-deal. It’s been great and I’ve loved every minute of it.

“There are no small games and there are no easy games here. Everyone ups their game to play Celtic and you need to be on it 100 per cent of the time, in games and training.

“I’ve settled in well with all the boys in the changing room and they’ve made it really easy for me.

“It’s a great changing room to be in and a great club to be at.”

Bain’s contract at Dens Park was due to run out at the end of the month.

**Bain was speaking to Celtic TV.
