‘I’M READY, RONNY,’ SAYS KELLEHER

FIACRE KELLEHER, the 20-year-old captain of the triumphant Celtic development team, has told Ronny Deila he is ready and willing if he is called up for first team duty.
The 6 foot 4 inch defender could find himself required for the run-in to the season with injuries to Erik Sviatchenko and Mikael Lustig in the goalless draw against Dundee at Dens Park on Tuesday.
And, of course, Croatian Under-21 international centre-half Jozo Simunovic is already out for the remainder of the campaign after undergoing knee surgery in London a fortnight ago.
Cork-born Kelleher, who has been at Parkhead since 2013, said: “I would be ready if needed.
“I think I’m at a stage where I could play for the first team. I’d back myself. It would definitely cap a dream season if I was called upon.
“I’m quietly confident in myself. I think I’m ready for whenever I get called upon. That would be the icing on the cake.”
