IN PICTURES: JUST CAPITAL, LENNY

IT could have been Capital Punishment or it could have been Capital Gains when Neil Lennon kicked off his second stint as Celtic manager with a return to Edinburgh last night.

The Irishman, who was put in charge on Tuesday after the defection of Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City, was boss of Hibs until their acrimonious split last month.

Ironically, Lennon was in the dug-out against old foes Hearts at Tynecastle for a rollicking, remarkable comeback to his interim period as the Hoops gaffer.

As usual, the club’s former skipper couldn’t dodge the spotlight as the champions snatched a stoppage-time winner through substitute Odsonne Edouard to make sure the three crucial points were heading for Parkhead as the title kings maintained their eight-point advantage at the top of the table as they zero in on their eighth successive crown.

And there is a return to the capital for Lennon and his players on Saturday evening when the holders take on his former Easter Road team in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.

It’s never dull when Neil Lennon is around, that’s for sure!
