Inner Record culture disrobed, signing up to the Celtic rulebook

In many places it would be practically inconceivable that someone could be employed in this position:

And get away with running rubbish like this on a back page cover:

capture-20170119-220127
But then you see more and get a picture of the organisation involved:

The Record have been caught displaying their inner culture and will no doubt be forced into a remedial action, but getting caught was just misfortune. The culture exists and has informed articles for years.  They have gone too far down this road to even begin to understand what they’ve done to a once-strong demographic.

An echo reached me from 2012 today, which illuminated yesterday’s article. As the SPL debated serious issues in 2012, a consensus emerged on what subsequently took place. There were hold-outs to the new majority, however.

One director of a club near Glasgow (no guesses, now) made his position clear: “I’m not signing up to any f****** Celtic rulebook.”

The comment met with incredulity, as the Celtic rulebook wasn’t part of the conversation. Fans and clubs across the country came to the same conclusion about how our game should proceed.  It was no more the Celtic rulebook than the Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs rulebook, but prejudices occasionally seep out when people don’t get what they want.

This is what we’re up against. They are still out there, writing articles for the paying public, or voting on the future of our game.

As for the Celtic rulebook, I’ve seen it. It contains one page and only three words: “Pay your bills.” That doesn’t sound like much but remarkably, it may deliver 20-in-a-row. I hope others don’t start to copy us.

  1. I hope Brendan puts out his strongest team today and is able to make three early substitutions because we are winning by a country mile.

  2. Great to be playing at the home of Airdrieonians FC, founded 2002, yet ‘league’ champions of the Scottish second division 1975-76, according to the SPFL official website.

Not anywhere near the most absurd club page on the site, either.

  4. Fulchester United have offered Brown Fox in a direct swap deal for Barrie McKay but according to their chairman,Rick Spangle, the death denying debt dodgers of Ibrox are holding out for a straight cash deal.Apparently,Fulchester enquired about adding Rex Findley to the swap but were tersely advised that only cash money deals would be considered.

I think trying to buy a player is like buying a car. You never go into a garage prepared to offer the price on the window. The car salesman is always out to screw the buyer for as much as he can. Several offers from both sides are needed before an agreement is reached.

Buying and selling players is the same. The selling club will never accept the first offer.

When RBL go in for bazza, they probably won’t offer six million right away. Maybe start at 5, sevco will ask for 7 and then accept 6 million.

    I”ll get my coat

Same here., ———-I only get to read the Celtic copy /cut /and paste otherwise opinion of what SMSM said, and rarely verbatim, after its been digested and opined on Celtic media.

I don’t do the Faily Record.

How Celtic fans can cherry pick from SMSM baffles me?….. and always has done.

We will also have issues with the PLC but fundamentally inclusive of the PLC and the CFC Board we are all still playing in a manifestly bent game.

You know it, I know it, and so does Peter.

This makes for difference and degree of opinion including the level of degree of blind faith or support, from nothing to gum bumping on the internet to Perth and Wednesday to season ticket and beyond.

The way you support Celtic or do, but don’t, but really do is another story and CQN has all of us.

Our club is remains rude health
