INTER BOSS RAGES

INTER MILAN boss Roberto Mancini was left raging as Celtic’s Europa League rivals crashed out of the Coppa Italia 1-0 last night after conceding another late goal.
The game in Naples looked to be heading for an extra half-hour before Gonzalo Higuain won it in stoppage time to put the holders in the last four.
Inter also leaked last-gasp goals in their previous two Serie A games, against Torino and Sassuolo.
The news of another inept display by the struggling San Siro giants will be welcomed by Ronny Deila and Co as they prepare to take on Inter in the first leg of their last 32 tie in Glasgow in a fortnight’s time.
Mancini moaned: “I’m shocked. You just can’t concede a goal like that.
“The goal we let in was absurd. We shouldn’t have lost this game.

“We played really well throughout the match, but every time we go and hand the opposition a free goal. We were far too lax.

“Higuain is a smart player and he nipped in there before anyone else on the throw-in.

“We were like a bunch of chickens – it was five against one. It was a ridiculous goal to concede.

“We did the same on Sunday against Sassuolo.”

Mancini has led the Hoops’ old Lisbon foes to just two league victories since replacing the sacked Walter Mazzarri in November.

They host host Palermo on Sunday looking to halt a three-match losing streak in all competitions.

Inter are 13th in the Serie A – 13 points adrift of Napoli, who are third and hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.
