ROBERTO MANCINI has Inter Milan in a positive frame of mind as they prepare for the Europa League ties against Celtic.

The former Manchester City boss has been praised by defender Danilo D’Ambrosio for transforming the club.

D’Ambrosio revealed the new coach’s influence has been keenly felt at the San Siro since he took over from Walter Mazzarri in November.

Mancini has lost just two competitive matches and the club are unbeaten in four games since returning from the mid-season break although they still sit ninth in the Serie A.

But former Italian Under-21 full-back D’Ambrosio insisted Inter now have a new and improved attitude and he applauded this month’s signings of Xherdan Shaqiri, from Bayern Munich, and Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski.

He said: “Mancini is putting across his winning mentality.

“It is a big team mentality – an Inter mentality.

“And with the two new players, Shaqiri and Podolski, it’s easier to carry out what the gaffer wants.

“We want to produce a positive performances and show the right attitude.”

The Italians face Ronny Deila’s men at Parkhead on Thursday February 19 with the return at the San Siro a week later.
