Right. I’m in Old Kilpatrick now but have never got up that hill yet. Will in the summer. Hopefully not to watch the bombs falling. But then why would they now? We don’t build serious stuff any more. Is that good or bad?
But I do like the Ramilles sculpture at Dalmuir .And I worked at Faslane for a while when I was a boy, helping to service the Nuclear Menace. I suppose I’m compromised anyway, so what’s a Lancaster here or there? Especially if you inhale while you’re glueing.

Watching the team at the moment is just so fantastic. My new article from Down Under just sums it up.
Normally when the Scottish POTY list is announced, a player from outwith Celtic is included so that you are not forced to pick a Celt. Danny Swanson was the prime candidate for this role up to Christmas but his form has fallen off, I cannot think of any member of the Dons squad who truly merits inclusion- Rooney scores a moderate amount of goals, McGinn blows hot and cold, and the unexciting pair of Shinnie and McLean have probably been the best of a moderate lot there.
So, I think we should see 4 Celts on the short list.
The question is- which 4?
I would assert that Dembele, Sinclair and Tierney will make it. I then think it’s a choice between Brown, Armstrong and Forrest. My own top 4 would be:-
Happy Birthday to Billy McNeill! A man I’ve only met once when I worked in WH Smith Argyle Street and he came in to do a signing of his book but he was a real gentleman, and so patient with all the fans.

For me Scott Brown has been outstanding this season and is POTY for me. Imperious in midfield in fact.
Others would be Dembele, Sinclair and Armstrong.
KT is playing well but is still a bit raw and his distribution, although improving, could be better. Since Christmas Boyata has been a revelation and would be included if he had performed like that all season. Rogic would be in there but for injury, the same with James Forrest.
Thanks for the memories and indeed those magnificent goals in 2 European Cup finals.

Very sad to hear of Tommy Gemmell losing his long fight against illness. He was my favourite player of the Lions Era and I was overwhelmed when I met him as an 8 year old when he signed my copy of “The Big Shot”.
Spare a thought for Winning Captains who has been close to Tommy through his illness as this will hit him harder than most.

Happy Birthday Billy McNeill !
Happy Birthday Mr Mc Neill. In a sport where the word legend is overused the mantle “Legend “sits comfortably on this great man and captain.
Happy Birthday, Billy McNeill. Thank you for all you have given to Celtic.

How about you lot? Whatdyathink?
BTW- I think the Scottish Press will stick with tradition and wil incclude Kenny Miller alongside 3 Celts.
RIP Tommy Gemmell
Just read the incredibly sad news that Tommy Gemmell has passed away.
Rest In Peace Tommy what a player you were.
May your family be comforted at this sad time.

You know they will find a way to squeeze one in!
Like you top 3 are nailed on and I’d go with Sinky Moussa & KT. I’d put Forrest in above Broen.
But not to worry.

There will be an Alternative POY & MOY awards this year though. ;@-)))
