I gather from my mate that Burley has been totally anti-Celtic in his commentary so far. Time to hurt ESPN by stopping the subscriptions. My mate reckons the sending off was on the soft side but that 2 of them should have been sent off for “tackles” on James Forrest, one of which resulted in not even a booking.

Those who don’t have video today – congratulations – you are not missing anything. We have struggled to string more than 3 passes together and when we do finally get the ball up to Stokes and Hooper, both have wasted everything that has come their way.
The ICT sending off should work for us because we were playing with a man down in midfield with Sammy wandering around down the left hand side and not bothering to track back when we are not in possession. He has won a couple of headers but no-one has been able to cash in. EL K behind Sammy not having the best of games. Pass marks to Wanyama, Mathews and Forrest.
Lenny needs to get the midfield sorted. Get Kayal and Sammi off for Commons and Paddy. Push Forrest and Paddy wide right and left and push Stokes and Hooper way up front.
We need to keep possession and speed things up. An early goal and the ICT heads will go down.

From kick off ICT were dirty fouling bassa’s according to most of our posters, someone sent off for a hand in the face and it wasn’t a ordering off.FFS make up your minds I’m reading the blog and it seems when Celtic are on the ball and a tackle goes in, the opposition are cheating effin Bassa’s without a show of a yellow card, and when the callie player is sent off,it shouldn’t have been an ordering off.

You are 100% correct – lets hope Lenny can motivate them because he certainly cant tell them where to play tactically.
As you say he has picked Samaras wide left and told the defence to play long diagonal balls to him – nothing wrong with that but he appears to have told Stokes and Hooper to stay towards the right of the pitch…
if a ball goes up to samaras one of them needs to be standing within 5 yards of him by the time it reaches him!
Slap in the face for a Celtic player – not a red card?, you could hear the contempt for Sammi in Burley’s reaction after he had watched the replay – Hunpundittry at it’s worst.
For Burley see Traynor see Hateley yada yada yada

On reflection, anything that rains on butcher’s parade is fine by me!
we are doing ok. ICT are doing what they always do. They break up the play with fouls and they work hard. It’s not an environment for silky stuff. ICT can’t keep up this level of effort with 10 men. The ref has had a decent game. Got both bookings correct, the red was a 50/50 whether it was ed or yellow. the only poor decision was not booking Tokeley for pulling back Hooper
C67 commentary team much better with the new guy. New innovation has the subscriber name in the top right hand corner of screen. Thats the end of the illegal streams from that source, Quite clever really
A couple of goals in the second half and we will forget the first.
Then we can read about how the ref gave us three points.
Cathedral View on
It was a deserved red.
A quick GLANCE at Sammy, a backwards jump INTO Sammy, a LEADING arm, hand makes CONTACT with Sammys face, Elbow/arm makes CONTACT with the side of Sammys head. INTENT.
They will appeal and have it reduced to a yellow in my opinion but a deserved red none the less.
More importantly, where is the protection for our playmaker? James Forrest has been subject to several late and ‘over the ball’ challenges in an attempt to injure him.
We are playing on the deck through JF and in the air through GS. Both players have been targeted for ‘rough’ treatment.
I agree with several posters that the ref will watch the red card incident at half time and attempt to even things up second half.
Defo Red.. Put Victor up Front with Sammi.. They Would Run Riot..

Everyone first impression was it was an elbow and a red card. That tells its own story. The referee was poorly position but his position would reinforce the first impressions.
After several replays, it looks a fairly tame incident that would probably merit a yellow
you would think after the last time we played here that we would have played with three solid midfielders as to two wide men like we did last time. i think we should ALWAYS start with only one wide player because we can always change it if needed, if we start with two wide men you can’t change it if you lose a goal, it’s to late then. WGS used to play two wide men and we had a lot of succes from it but neil lennon can’t get it right.

We need to seriously up the tempo 2nd half, either of ki, commons or derry pele mite find a bit more space to open them up. On red card if sammy was same height he would’ve caught elbow flush on the nose. Intent=red! Mon the Hoops
Like Kojo – big hook out for Hooper who clearly cant be bothered.

Poor first half but then again when we are not allowed to play flowing football by the long grass and hammer throwing then it is a day for digging in.
How that Gillett has not had a yellow is beyond me. Ditto Tokely. Harsh red though.
Hooper miles off the pace, Stokes decission making poor.
Neil should consider removing Kayal before O’Reilly does it for him.
