We’re winning despite the cheating. The only thing is we should be comfortable now, but not with this blatant display by officials.

I don’t blame the referee for that decision. The assistant behind the goal has failed to do his job. Simple as that.
IMHO the referee has had a good game, kept the game flowing on a good pitch in a game where both teams are playing good, attractive football.

There’s an extra official behind the goal, and the assistant running the line, so 2 angles if the MIB hasn’t seen it (Aye).
Hope Ronny can channel the sense of injustice his players clearly feel to wrap this up and take those cheating gits out of the equation in the second half.

There are no repercussions for cheats like this.
Peter should be publicly sending a letter to Referee Committee protesting and refusing to accept refs who blatantly are unfit for purpose.
Ref has been shockingly bad all game but don’t think he was best placed to give penalty. Linesman had clear view and the clown behind the goal was right next to incident.

I’ll wager the official behind the goals is not one of the 5 ‘active’ officials in the final.

After a good opening 15 minute spell for ICT, Celtic took control of the game and out-played them. Despite their good play ICT never gave Craig Gordon much to think about, for which credit should go to all of our defenders who have been superb. Midfield, once they got going, have been dominant, especially Biton who looks as solid as usual.
Pleased to see young James having a great game out wide left, possibly his best 45 of the season. Kris took a whilel to get into the game but is not looking threatening moving forward and Griff has worked his backside off up front. All in all, a good team performance.
Virgil’s goal was a stunning freekick earned initially from a great run by James. Keeper had no chance as it crashed in off the post. Prior to that, Biton had a fabulous strike come back off a post. Biggest talking point was a certain LG goal stopped by a hand ball on the line, 3 yds from one of five officials who failed to see what was blatantly obvious to everyone else in the stadium. ICT should be down to 10 men.
Looking forward to the second half. The treble should be within touching distance after 45 more minutes.
Why the hell cant Hampden provide a bit of grass thats acceptable for a game of top flight football.

Don’t know how anyone can suggest referee Steven McLean would some how have anti Celtic leanings.
Totally coincidentally, his brother Brian McLean used to play for rangers and opted to play international football for Northern Ireland as opposed to the country of his birth, Scotland.

It’s presenting Celtic with a final place if he gives it, as it’s a red too.
Even McCann says he had a clear view.
Why are you defending the indefensible when even the likes of McCann and Tanner aren’t?
This has handed ICT a lifeline.

If there was any justice the ref should give a red card to the defender before the game restarts.
