Is it 1 or 12 in a row tomorrow?

So what’s this, one in a row?  It’s been almost four years since that night in Dundee but when the questions concerning ineligible players are eventually answered, who knows, it could be 12 in a row or more.  We’ll find out soon enough.

The margin of supremacy Celtic have this season means that when the inevitable comes, whether it is two weeks or more after the earliest date the league could be won, the celebrations will not be as acute as they were in 2008 or even in 2001, when we finally knew our long period underfoot was finished, however, this will be recorded as one of the most important season’s in our history.

The methods which were used to combat Celtic’s re-emergence under Martin O’Neill and then Gordon Strachan have been laid bare.  The “crash and burn” predictions that so many of us spent years talking about, while Celtic ‘lost’ trophies but paid their bills have come true.

Tomorrow will be a special day.  Enjoy it.

Expert on newsnight said duff n duffer can sell the assets but can’t sell Whytie shares. Can someone explain that to me please.

  2. 12 in a row will suit me..

1 in a row was mini’s first birthday..Tommy Johnston scrappy goal v St Mirren

read it again. It obviously makes some different sense to you but, then, you wrote it.

    To me the ending:-

“PS We’ll have more than three shots on goal though, won’t we? ”

suggests that we only had three shots on target.

Even if you meant Cammy Bell had 3 good saves in the LC final so we will need more than 3 shots to beat him, then how do you square that with the fact that we did have more than 3 shots on target in that match.

Perhaps it would be best if you explained it more clearly to me.

  4. Is that banner for real? Subscribe to ESPN? I recently cancelled cos the unbelievable hatred they have for all things Celtic!!

  5. Off out for a burger and a pre-party Guinness or two at Bar Arena in Denia. Enjoy the next 24 hours CQNers – chocolate eggs should help on Sunday morning to alleviate the hangovers.

  6. Cathedral View on

The can of worms the issue of player registrations opens would destroy the SFA.

I really believe liquidation will be used as an excuse to draw a line under any investigation into ineligible players and as such the history books will not be rewritten.

  7. Excellent post Paul. As you say, all the underhand tactics employed to keep us down have been laid bare. After all the “honest mistakes” and the victimisation of our players and our manager, this title will be as sweet as any other.

    Enjoy your day too.

any details re beamback for tomorrow?

BT I received an email from Parkhead on Thursday asking me to Kerrydale Suite.

Also how many would be in my party.

Do not know if it is advertised on site.

  9. Setanta Ireland site reckons Neil has confirmed that Rogne and Forrest are out for tomorrow but Wanyama and Cha are available again.BBC site says Vic is still suspended.

    Which is right?

  10. some finish from Cisse.. Swansea all over them and Newcastle go up the park and score.

    cheers mighty tim

  11. setting free the bears

It was a play on the gospel story where Jesus told Peter that he (Peter) would disown him 3 times before the cock crew twice.

If you didn’t know that passage then it would have been lost on you.

I’m sure we will bombard the Killie goal as we nearly always do.

    12 in a row..nice one Paul.

I will not believe that the huns are dead till they are dead!

All the Salmond jibber jabber on the previous missive. It has always been apparent to me that a large section of Scots and Irish will never accept that Celtic are Scottish!

ok one point tomorrow but call me paranoid. Neil will need to ensure that

Celtic finish the league on top by more than ten points

  16. BT

Got a leaflet at the St Johnston game, beamback at kerrydale street.

my mate phoned up banquting and catering at CP and booked us in, just a surname and number attending.

    no money taken

I would call cp in morning or just turn up and speak to girls at door, you will ok

Paul67 – I have to say the new website looks class.Very smart & professional.Even the adverts are subtle and non-intrusive.

    Well done.

Have a brilliant day 2mara everybody.

Be Seen in Green – WE ARE THE CELTS!!

    Slan. :)

was in kerrydale st after st johnstone game, band playing,

    didn’t notice the leaflets. o(

  19. BT

loads of ghirls walking about in north stand concourse handing them out

  20. This may sound a bit daft but can you wear your hoops top at the beamback or is there some sort of dress code i.e. smart casual.

  21. Do not believe any history books will be re-written not if the sfa/spl have got anything to do with it. If the big tax bomb finally explodes and proves the existance of side letters, illegal payments etc, then it will be up to Celtic FC to start the claim for past trophies. 3-0 results etc. This is where imo we will miss Paul McBride QC.

If we do not challenge it, no-one will.

  22. Steinreignedsupreme on

    Paul67 –

Any idea what happened to all those jokers who used to come on and post about balance sheets being more important than titles?

    I miss them…

Bhoy67 Cheers mate. If I meet you I will buy you a beer.

Dont worry about the beer mate, but it would be nice to meet a fellow cqn’r

look out for the kid in the electric wheelchair and the minstrels celtic hat, i wont be far way.

  25. So investigation of illegal player registrations would open a can of worms and bring down the SFA….

    That’ll do me..

I want the Orcs destroyed and expunged from the pages of history…

    No Newco,no nothing…

Let them repair to their Bowling Clubs and improve on their ‘draw’…is it wee green mats they use to kneel on ?

Any individuals holding positions on their Board over the relevant time period should be sanctioned and disbarred from any further involvement in Scottish Football…never mind getting themselves involved in setting up a Phoenix G.A.

The litigation could drag on for years…

But who would deny Philvis his daily crust ?

This corrupt SFA must be swept away, and be replaced by one unitary body,as in most other countries…

    SFA/SPL/SFL amalgamated into one body

    Still Laughin’,mind…

  26. With Phils latest blog about the police telling d&p not go near the directors box tomorrow with regards to their safety, coupled with the trouble Neil had a few weeks back, should the HSE be called in to close the place down, with regards to safety in the workplace.

It will save HMRC from doing it.

    Makes sense to me.
