Is it 1 or 12 in a row tomorrow?

1011

So what’s this, one in a row?  It’s been almost four years since that night in Dundee but when the questions concerning ineligible players are eventually answered, who knows, it could be 12 in a row or more.  We’ll find out soon enough.

The margin of supremacy Celtic have this season means that when the inevitable comes, whether it is two weeks or more after the earliest date the league could be won, the celebrations will not be as acute as they were in 2008 or even in 2001, when we finally knew our long period underfoot was finished, however, this will be recorded as one of the most important season’s in our history.

The methods which were used to combat Celtic’s re-emergence under Martin O’Neill and then Gordon Strachan have been laid bare.  The “crash and burn” predictions that so many of us spent years talking about, while Celtic ‘lost’ trophies but paid their bills have come true.

Tomorrow will be a special day.  Enjoy it.

read it again. It obviously makes some different sense to you but, then, you wrote it.

    To me the ending:-

“PS We’ll have more than three shots on goal though, won’t we? ”

suggests that we only had three shots on target.

Even if you meant Cammy Bell had 3 good saves in the LC final so we will need more than 3 shots to beat him, then how do you square that with the fact that we did have more than 3 shots on target in that match.

Perhaps it would be best if you explained it more clearly to me.

  4. Is that banner for real? Subscribe to ESPN? I recently cancelled cos the unbelievable hatred they have for all things Celtic!!

  5. Off out for a burger and a pre-party Guinness or two at Bar Arena in Denia. Enjoy the next 24 hours CQNers – chocolate eggs should help on Sunday morning to alleviate the hangovers.

    Paul,

The can of worms the issue of player registrations opens would destroy the SFA.

I really believe liquidation will be used as an excuse to draw a line under any investigation into ineligible players and as such the history books will not be rewritten.

  7. Excellent post Paul. As you say, all the underhand tactics employed to keep us down have been laid bare. After all the “honest mistakes” and the victimisation of our players and our manager, this title will be as sweet as any other.

    Enjoy your day too.

It was a play on the gospel story where Jesus told Peter that he (Peter) would disown him 3 times before the cock crew twice.

If you didn’t know that passage then it would have been lost on you.

I’m sure we will bombard the Killie goal as we nearly always do.

I will not believe that the huns are dead till they are dead!

All the Salmond jibber jabber on the previous missive. It has always been apparent to me that a large section of Scots and Irish will never accept that Celtic are Scottish!

ok one point tomorrow but call me paranoid. Neil will need to ensure that

Celtic finish the league on top by more than ten points

  16. BT

Got a leaflet at the St Johnston game, beamback at kerrydale street.

my mate phoned up banquting and catering at CP and booked us in, just a surname and number attending.

    no money taken

I would call cp in morning or just turn up and speak to girls at door, you will ok

  21. Do not believe any history books will be re-written not if the sfa/spl have got anything to do with it. If the big tax bomb finally explodes and proves the existance of side letters, illegal payments etc, then it will be up to Celtic FC to start the claim for past trophies. 3-0 results etc. This is where imo we will miss Paul McBride QC.

If we do not challenge it, no-one will.

  25. So investigation of illegal player registrations would open a can of worms and bring down the SFA….

    That’ll do me..

I want the Orcs destroyed and expunged from the pages of history…

    No Newco,no nothing…

Let them repair to their Bowling Clubs and improve on their ‘draw’…is it wee green mats they use to kneel on ?

Any individuals holding positions on their Board over the relevant time period should be sanctioned and disbarred from any further involvement in Scottish Football…never mind getting themselves involved in setting up a Phoenix G.A.

The litigation could drag on for years…

But who would deny Philvis his daily crust ?

This corrupt SFA must be swept away, and be replaced by one unitary body,as in most other countries…

    SFA/SPL/SFL amalgamated into one body

    Still Laughin’,mind…

  26. With Phils latest blog about the police telling d&p not go near the directors box tomorrow with regards to their safety, coupled with the trouble Neil had a few weeks back, should the HSE be called in to close the place down, with regards to safety in the workplace.

It will save HMRC from doing it.

    Makes sense to me.
