Is it any wonder Celtic fans worry about contagion?

639

Not only are Newco left without an auditor, a Nomad and therefore a market listing, outgoing auditors Deloitte, wrote to the club last month to explain they were resigning due to threatening and intimidating messages received by their staff from anonymous persons during 2013 and 2014 in relation to their work with the club.

The toxicity of that football club is difficult to overstate.  Is it any wonder Celtic fans are clear: the ‘Old Firm’ died in 2012?  Any attempts to rekindle it will result in contagion for our own club, who maybe smaller going forward without the ‘Old Firm’ dividend, but it will be healthier nonetheless.

I’ll take 40,000 crowds and winning the next 30 titles in a canter, bring it on.

Was at doctor the day before my ankle op, had put on 3kilos from previous visit ( diabetes clinic), Doctor told me I am now classed as Obese ? (13st 10 @ 5’9″ and now wrong side of 50), so now on Max tablets to try and control Diabetes :-(((

Probably put on around a stone in last 2 years since losing one wee dug and getting the other, plus wee Hugo also having cruciate op, so couldnt take him oot for 3 months

Now need to do something to get weight back off

Own ankle issue restricting options, hence question on cycling

Saint Stivs – Down where the Buffalo Roam brings back good memories as some of the filming was done in the old Melrose pub. Some of my mates were extras and got £20 a day plus free drink as well. Raging as I was at work whilst they were getting pished and being paid for it as well.

I had a drink with Peter McDougall and Jimmy Nail in the Regal bar where his sister worked as a barmaid, it was one of the funniest days I ever had in there. Both of them were on top form although the triple G & T’s probably had something to do with it…Claim to fame, beat both of them at pool…

  3. i know i was drunk last night as i called the vital spark, the para handy,

The Melly was a great pub although it did have it’s fair share of nutters, I remember they started showing films but pulled The Warriors as it started too many fights..some cracking pool players played in there as well….

I am afraid that your wee tale of a Canadian Mayor standing up to those big bad Sharia Law proponents was just another made up internet myth like those regularly peddled on CQN by our right wing correspondent from one of the Carolinas.

Funnily enough, though my suspicions of fakery were immediately raised, the sentiments in the writer’s imagination were much less rabid and were more cleverly expressed than is usual from the Tea Party Imagineers. I could agree with a lot of what they said, being positive about Canadian and Western values and doing so with humorous overtones.

Just a pity it is a lot of made up baloney :-

“The City of Dorval Denounces False News Circulating on the Internet

Dorval, January 27, 2015 – For a number of weeks now, false news has been circulating on social networks, as well as via a string of emails, about the Mayor of Dorval having allegedly refused to follow up on a request from Muslim parents asking him to remove pork from the City’s school cafeterias. The story also quotes speculative comments from the Mayor in regards to Muslims.

The City of Dorval wishes to denounce this false article and resents this identity usurpation. Internet users across the world have published this false news as it was true, and the Mayor would like to set the record straight by saying that, on no account, he, nor any the City’s representatives, have made such comments.

Albeit difficult to track the origins of this hoax, our research has led us to believe that it started in the United States. A similar hoax about a Mayor in Belgium had traveled the Web in 2013.”

Some of these sites seem to have trouble in analysing the real threat from Medievalist Barbarism and prefer the Goebbels route of just making it up.

do you know martin clark as well ?

we had a great crew then, we went to a few matches all together as well, but it all descended into scuffles.

magic days, i couldnt live through them again though.

  16. I imagine the norn iron orange loyalists were bit of a creation of the Brits.

The brit military intelligence using the usual divide and rule scam .

The US borrowed the tactic and have employed it all over the world . The Ulster and scot orangie “people” were easily duped and fell hook line and sinker . They now are trapped in their own dead-end world.

Drunk hun nuts drunk wife/bird at platform 12 in Central.

Drunk hun demanding to get through barrier without a ticket claiming ‘watp’ and ‘proud protestant’ being enough to pass through. Knocked back.

Another two giving dogs abuse to ticket collector for his ‘tarrier’ name tag, but waking up at Wemyss Bay so taxi back to Greenock. Karma for wee mate.

What people say publicly doesn’t necessarily represent their private views

Remember the country Celtic operate out of. Celtic gain nothing from publicly “having a go” at them. If we put out a statement distancing us from the Old Firm, the monkeys at the DR and the Sun will still print it.

It would cause the club grief it doesn’t need. Celtic just need to look after themselves. Sevco are doing a great job of tearing themselves apart.
