The stage is set. Dundee United, the club who were last to beat Celtic, stand in the way of their treble ambitions, as the clubs meet on three consecutive occasions next month. The first game, a Scottish Cup quarter final at Tannadice, is the most crucial.
United lost their best two players last week but they remain they will know that beating Celtic at home will make them favourites for the Scottish Cup. They will be far less confident at the following week’s League Cup final, Dundee United expectations are always low at Hampden, but pressure will be on the club to win their home game.
A note on the suitability or otherwise of a director of a public company. In the UK, only the courts can ban you from being a company director, HMRC cannot ban you, any more than they can ban you from driving. In the UK, public companies are held to a higher standard than private companies. If anyone presents to you claiming, “HMRC have never banned me from driving/being a company director”, you know your being misled. The same is true for most jurisdictions.
The AIM market requires companies to have nominated adviser (nomad), which carries out regulator duties on behalf of the market, and ultimately shareholders. The fact that UK, or other, courts have not prohibited you from being a company director implies nothing about your suitability as a director of a public company. When it comes to the AIM market, this suitability is judged by your effective regulator, your nomad. A recent history of financial criminal activity, for example, will give your nomad plenty to consider, as would a recent history of being a director in a liquidated public company. Far more would decline such a candidate than approve.

Sounds like your Dad did fatherhood right.
May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your father. May his soul rest in peace.
McGlennan
The SFAs Compliance officer is IMHO not fit for the job he is in.
He has (again IMHO) selective vision, not good in a job that is supposed to instil faith that the job is being done without fear or favour.
Matthews was playing well for four or five games, but lustig was brought back in when fit, remember how good a player Matthews is , was brilliant out of position at left back against barca at celtic park,
Well Mr McGlennan
Seems I had you all wrong
Apologies Sir.

The compliance officer can be called upon for all Scottish leagues. He will evaluate all video evidence for any game in Scotland. The Livingston player from the weekend being the case in point.
We know that it depends on who raises the complaints which in all of Celtic’s ‘charges’ this season get swift attention via SKY or BT Sport.
STV for example are fielding calls on Twitter from the general public at present about Lee McCulloch’s average of 1.5 stampings per game, widely available with video evidence in consecutive games.
Allegedly, he hasn’t decided yet, but what do you think he’ll say?
Hallelujah!!!

McCulloch sited 8)
———————————————
Why did the Compliance Office cite him for that stamp, but not the stamp on John Guedetti. I suppose this goes back to my question above. How does the Compliance Officer become aware of an offence and decide on a citation?

:)))))
McCulloch’s only getting pulled up because the huns are fed up with him in the team.

If McGlennan had acted after the LCSF, Elbows McCulloch wouldn’t have played against Raith Rovers.
Elbows is only cited for the stamp on Sunday. I can only assume the referee thought the elbow to the back of the neck was only worthy of a yellow.
He seems to have gotten away with his assaults against Celtic anyway.
Just a shame that he wasn’t watching when the Thug trampled all over John Guidetti, and straight-armed Leigh Griffiths!
That might have saved Dale Carrick from being stamped on.
However, if he hadn’t been in the RIFC back-line on Sunday, RR might not have had such an easy time of it!

Ta. He appears to have seen the video evidence of the Livi player. And it now appears that he has seen the video evidence of Elbows’ stamp on the Raith Player. Yet he appears not to have seen the stamp on John Guidetti in what was arguably the most widely anticipated and viewed game in the past 3 years?
Forearm smashes are obviously ok as is stamping on a hooped jersey

In a nutshell…………………………….. spot-on.
Alexsander Tonev seven game ban is all you need to know about the SFA..
Unfit for purpose since as long as I can remember…
there is a clear difference between the stamp in the lge cup semi and the one at the weekend.
In the first incident he stamped on a boy in green and white hoops.
case closed.
Jackie Mac
Sincere condolences on passing of your Dad. May your Dad rest in peace.God bless your family on this sad time.

The long arm of the law of averages.
I’m glad I campaigned towards albeit lenient justice.
Are the rumours about those arrested in connection for the attack on a man outside the pub after the sevco match actually different from what was said by the DR
This incident caused a serious falling out between me & my sevco supporting Bro- in law
A McCulloch suspension is good for Sevco
No?
hoop hoop
Celebrating because one of their players are banned,it’s good to know that’s all they’ve got to celebrate,it’s true what they say……
Ain’t no fun bein’ a hun!

So Elbows gets off scot free again.
I keep hearing phrases like ” before he does damage”, well that is already happened.
Last year he broke the cheekbone of a Forfar player, with not even a booking. Also during the game with Alloa he elbowed to the head of Liam Buchanan which again received no booking. Buckie got up and continued the game and was on a 8 goal scoring streak, which Alloa came back to win 3-2. The following day he was at the doctors complaining off severe headaches. He was diagnosed with concussion, therefore unavailable for 2 weeks and hasn’t scored since. Often concussion is delayed, not instantly apparent, and another blow to the head could be fatal. It is only through luck that he has not struck a fatal blow, yet the SFA, who are well aware, turn a blind eye. God forbid something serious did happen our governing bodies would be culpable.

Celtic fans get the blame for everything, remember we ‘battered’ Alan McGregor *and it turned out it was his bird*

On another note.Takes hire from QSS to Hampden.Old gent, resplendent with his red and blue tie.Asks him whats on today.Disciplinary meeting he replies.Who is up today I asks him.Och dont know , but they will have their lawyers with them no doubt.Changed days from when we used to meet, find guilty or not and suitably punish.I then asked him his thoughts on Lee McCullochs antics in the league cip final.I kid you not, he replied that to his mind , the luckiest guy on the park was Broony, for that tackle on Black at the death. He then asked what I thought of the tackle in the Bolton v Liverpool game the night before.I says the boy let his manager down big time.Ah Mr Lennon, I seem to recall giving him a 6 match ban for entering the field of play at Hampden.I said to myself, I bet you will recall it till the day you die.
This was a vile old bigot who epitomised everything that is wrong in the governance of our game and why res 12 must win out.

Fingers crossed BT doesn’t get a lot of the EPL.
Just about to be published
Not in the habit of trawling through any other Scottish football clubs fans blog so I haven’t the foggiest wether any Raith Rovers supporters were kicking up a stink and firing off letters and e-mails to all and sundry regarding McCulloch’s conduct in their Scottish cup tie. I haven’t seen what he done and I am not in the least bit interested, a game which didn’t involve Celtic and involved two teams from the lower leagues, the type of game which has never ever held my attention in the past.
I am actually surprised that some bloggers actually find the time to post in here judging by the amount of time they spend analysing hun games, firing off letters to whoever will open the envelope, doing their peeping Tom on hun web sites and anything else that generally involves them. For a supposedly deid club they get some amount of coverage in here.

I heard last week it was not football related and that those involved were not Celtic fans.
Heard & read a few things on the same theme today.
