‘IT’S ALL YOURS, CELTIC,’ ADMITS DONS BOSS

ABERDEEN boss Derek McInnes has admitted defeat in the Premiership title race – after just ONE game!

The Dons gaffer saw his side kick off their league season with a 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies yesterday – 24 hours after Celtic’s 4-1 walloping of Hearts.

Despite strengthening his squad with Ryan Christie, on a season-long loan from the Hoops, Gary Mackay-Steven, a permanent deal with the Parkhead side, Greg Tansey, Greg Stewart, Nicky Maynard and Kari Arnason, McInnes has admitted Brendan Rodgers’ men are likely to dominate again.

McInnes said: “I don’t think we will improve on our league position.

“That is not easy for me to say, but I think Celtic will dictate that.

“If they play to the standards of last season, I don’t think anybody else can get close to them.

“At the very least we want to be the team closest to them and try to improve our points tally. That is the aim.”
