It’s that time again, buckle in!

The final dice on what could become our second nine-in-a-row season is set to be cast.  I expect business to be done but the usual caveats apply, it takes agent, player, selling club and buying club to be in alignment for a deal to happen and if one gets cold feet a deal will not happen.

For me, the position of greatest need is central defence.  Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are enduring injury problems which have forced their absence for much of the campaign.  The loss of multiple wingers is less a concern, as I realllllly hope we play three at the back and two strikers for much of the remainder of the season.

Buckle in!!

I gotta say, the actual article hasn’t aged well.

Guess we can take the seatbelts off now, eah?

Do you think Paul EVER gets tired of spooning Lawwell’s shite?

    —————-

Do you ever think that maybe Paul isn’t in the know, and is only posting his opinion like you.

P67 gets so much wrong I’m at a lost where you think he’s some puppet.

  3. As a constant critic of Lawwell and the Board, apart from another CB,I don’t get the frustration from Bhoys on here, we are used to it, We spent £5.5 million on players.Maybe the panty wetters are still watching SSN….

  4. A young un at my work today was watching the transfer news on Sky, on his phone.

He was shouting over the desk that this white haired bloke knows nothing about Scottish football, I said what Jim White, he said no some other guy.

He replayed the clip and it was Charlie Nicholas, he didn’t know who he was 😀

  5. This is one of the most landmark league deciders in our history.

Yet here we are with no support from those who we trust to get us the 9.

This stance from our custodians is incredible.

    We see what is required.

    Why can’t they?

Sound better when it’s spelt right.

    And played at 11.

Seriously effed off with the club.

We know what was needed for the historical 9.

    Hope we haven’t blown it.

    Hail Hail

  8. Who would believe it a great chance to give the fans 9 maybe 10 leagues in a row with a skip full of money in reserve and what do we do, we’ll not a lot

I hear you. The US isn’t ready for Leftism, even today. Youtube is the last Google product I have to give up. I don’t sign in as wee act of rebellion but I always seems to end up with the weirdest “chosen for you” . I’m like, what the heck do I watch and listen to after a couple of adult beverages on a Friday. Rabbit hole or what?

Got to see this in Louisville a couple or three years ago. Was sweet.

Most get taught, few remember. Deep enough thoughts for a Friday with Leftfiled and Stone Roses on the blog?

  10. Being objective.

We only have one CF in our squad who is both proven and free from any lengthy or persistent injury concerns. Only two CB’s in our squad fit that criteria.

Aye, nothing to concern ourselves with right enough.

Anybody swallowing the reported transfer fees as fact really hasn’t been paying attention. We were told that Boeriggter (spelling) cost £3M- he didn’t.

BTW my pants are bone dry.

Eddie was injury prone in his early days, Dembele the same. The Griff is less prone to injury or proven as goal getter than those 2.

  12. The Huddle

Griffs recent issues are well documented, is he over them? I hope so but doubts remain if he can get back to the player he was.

Can he get back to where he was? I’m not sure. We’ll have to wait and see. He’s trying his best to get there.

“People are talking about Scotland but it’s not my main issue at the minute. I just want him to get a run of games and stay fit and leaner. He admitted himself he’s got more to do but I’m delighted with his start to the second half of the season. Neil Lennon

  13. Buckle in?? What a farce. Every SPL team signed someone today to meet their perceived need, with the exception of Ross County and, of course us. We are told that we agreed terms with a player but omitted to find out early enough whether his team would release him. When they declined, as usual we have no Plan B.

Regardless of the cheerleaders on here, Neil Lennon wanted that player, but as has happened so many times in the past, Lawwell failed to deliver. Where are the players with ‘nous, experience and physicality, and ready to step in’ that our manager said we needed after December 29, and was screamingly obvious to a blind man and his dug at the League Cup Final?

  18. Hotel de Paris on

So the window has slammed shut and all we have achieved is adding a couple of new projects to the already bloated squad. I have no idea if either will be first team regulars but apprehensive given our success rate with projects is, frankly, appalling. I am sure we can all compile a lengthy list of expensive failures. Not surprised at the Board’s negligence to again deliver their key objective of coming out each transfer window in a stronger position.

I have repeatedly questioned the quality of our Scouting operation and this was highlighted last year when we gave a summer internship to Hammond before giving him a full time appointment In October.

A few of my Celtic supporting mates back the Board and point out our recent unprecedented success as justification. I reply is that we have been successful despite Lawwell and Bankier’s stewardship not because of it. They have both been in position well past their sell by date and their plundering of the Profit and Loss for their own personal gain is shameful.
