The final dice on what could become our second nine-in-a-row season is set to be cast. I expect business to be done but the usual caveats apply, it takes agent, player, selling club and buying club to be in alignment for a deal to happen and if one gets cold feet a deal will not happen.
For me, the position of greatest need is central defence. Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are enduring injury problems which have forced their absence for much of the campaign. The loss of multiple wingers is less a concern, as I realllllly hope we play three at the back and two strikers for much of the remainder of the season.
Buckle in!!

Do you really think the Board are showing intent to win the League and make history and are providing the best possible resources to achieve that?
___
I think that the board, Neil Lennon and Hammond did a good job in the summer.
If Klimala and Soro turn out great than this is a somewhat successful window.
If we pick up a couple of loans to backfill the squad then fine.
Hibs supporters were unhappy with chairman Rod Petrie over the Leith club’s backing of the SFA, wonder what they’ll think of loaning top striker Kamberi to Sevco?
So Kamberi to sevco a goer. He is ideal for them because he has all the traits of a hun. IMHO I think Kamberi is trouble and has caused problems in the Hibs dressing room so might be a blessing in disguise.
BSR
The Hibbies behind me not that bothered, don’t rate him. Mind you they think Hagi was too old for the Huns. Rang wan said I!!😱
The option to play 3 at the back (as per first half at Perth ) is one that will pay dividends domestically at least.
If that option is taken away from the manager , the points may be harder to come by . On Wednesday we didn’t have the (fit) personnel to employ that formation second half and the difference was marked . Elhamed can play CB when fit or RB with the option of moving to CB in required . It’s all a bit iffy though unless we can pull a CB rabbit out of the hat by midnight.

Cheers, was thinking maybe Petrie’s flawed contribution to the ‘stop the nine’
I know the window has not closed yet , but looks like another chance has went bye to improve the team.
Summer transfer window had too many loan signings for my liking.
Very disappointing once again from the club.
And the window slowly descends- don’t expect anymore and, injuries aside I’m reasonably happy – repeat the first half in Perth a few times and we won’t be far away
Not even Robbie Keane got the full floodlights treatment?

I am in the Tribe that think we have enough as it is to win the League but still want an extra bit of muscle in as a bit of extra security.
In truth will be well pissed off if we don’t get anyone today.
Just read that we are supposed to be in for Atsu from Newcastle. I hope to god that is not true.
To paraphrase ole snake eyes

I know B. but we have loaned out quite a few, must have freed up a bit of wages, we can well afford to pay a couple of Loanees. The stakes are high, the Huns are gambling heavy to stop the 9 & get their paws on CL money.
I think we can and should respond and not be complacent.
Will Peter Lawell pay Victor Wanyama 60k per week and a welcome parcel of fish an chips and pint of stout on arrival? Celtic have a very good squad but very bad injury problems. On a serious note, quite surprised that victor did not become one of the top players in the EPL and is looking for a club presently.

Complacency is our middle name.
Lawwell must reckon the gamble is worth it, same as it ever was…..

Lewis Morgan confirmed as having signed for Miami, BBC sport, good luck young man.

I think we’ve spent reasonably well ( not closed yet ) in that Neil Lennon has already more than doubled Brendan Rodgers last January window, which had too many loans and not enough quality, we still won the league.
He’s be very well backed since he took the job, has signed 14 players, and has now spent more that £20M.
We have good players waiting to contribute some of whom can’t get a look in, to the first team, all in all light years ahead of the WGS years.
Time to get out with the family now, don’t expect anything exciting to happen tonight. I’ll have a wee peak before bed though, just to make sure.
Haji’s boay …………..”Haddi” ?
;)
HHH.
Boyle?……feck off Celtic , he’s too important
Kamberi?……..he’s just as important but I’ll just go and gift wrap him fur ye Rainjurrz.
It’s a squad game and you need a squad of at least 20 fit quality players from week to week
We have:
Forster
Bauer
Ajer
Julien
Taylor
Brown
McGregor
Christie
Forrest
Ntcham
Griffiths
Eduard
Gordon
Klimala
Dembele
Not fit enough yet:
Soro
Injury prone:
Sunonovic
Rogic
Injured:
Elyanoussi
Mikey Johnson
El Hamed
Scott Bain
Frimpong
Bitton
So we have 14 maybe 15 fit players for the next 3-4 weeks.
I think we need reinforcements to tide us over.
D. :)
Just looking in the windae.
Nothing but my reflection.
Don’t you love Wikipedia…
“Florian Kamberi (born 8 March 1995) is a professional footballer, who plays as forward for Scottish Premiership club Rangers. Kamberi has previously played for Grasshopper and Karlsruher SC. He represented Switzerland at the under-21 level, and has since been selected for the Albania squad. Wanted for pumping dogs back in Switzerland”
Will somebody shut the windae…thur’s a helluva draught…
Why did they sign Kamberi on a six month loan instead of buyin him outright?
I love it how we are supposed to be ‘realistic’ that a reserve player from Spurs who has hardly kicked a ball this season is ‘out of our league’?.
High wages?….yes
A signing we could make profit on?….hell no
A signing that would show good faith to the supporters who show good faith in celtic every season?….Yes
Its funny how a belgian team [bruges??]can get a fee and wages close to completion for big Vic in the summer
Sold out by the money men at celtic once again.
A bunch of skin flints and cheapskates who are gambling with there own oblivion.
I love Lenny..I like the current squad however if it all goes tits up this year…we all know who to blame
We head into Sunday with two fit CBs, Johnny Hayes for left wing, Bauer as our only right back.
Our injuries may clear up or they may not. We may never see our full squad fully fit. After today, there’s nothing we can do about it.
Thankfully Atsu has decided he wants stay and fight for his place at Newcastle 👍🏾
Scottish nugget on Sky having to reaffirm viewers that Celtic play in Scotland. Sky are a horrible horrible abomination.
CB in please, though not getting optimistic esp as another PL acolyte is already raging with him
The Ames Window. An optical illusion.

Worth forwarding to about 2:30.
Very similar to our window.
Lazydinamite…”I love Lenny..I like the current squad however if it all goes tits up this year…we all know who to blame”
I really don’t think we need Wanyama. He is no longer the hungry player we had. He’s made his fortune…on the other hand, Ismaila Soro is hungry and eager to impress…a much better deal methinks…
Aside the dog bothering…
Hibs signed Kamberi on a 3 year deal in June 2018 after he had scored 9 goals in 14 matches following a January loan.
The following season, working under (against?) Lenny, he scored 8 goals in 33 league matches.
So far this season, he’s played in 20 league matches and scored 3 goals.
That’s 53 SPFL matches and 11 goals. He’s up there with George Oakley, strikers-wise.
If I was Leanne Dempster, I’d have gift wrapped him as well.

Anything doing tonight or can we save ourselves the anxiety of waiting and expecting ?

Any lights on?
