The final dice on what could become our second nine-in-a-row season is set to be cast. I expect business to be done but the usual caveats apply, it takes agent, player, selling club and buying club to be in alignment for a deal to happen and if one gets cold feet a deal will not happen.
For me, the position of greatest need is central defence. Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are enduring injury problems which have forced their absence for much of the campaign. The loss of multiple wingers is less a concern, as I realllllly hope we play three at the back and two strikers for much of the remainder of the season.

Seems tae be a bit of a windae hysteria again about a player we christened the Kenyan Fenian.
This is probably based on the goal he scored and his performance on a dreary November night against “Més que un club”, 8 month later he was joe the toffski tae Hampshire, literally fae St Mary’s Calton tae St Mary’s Stadium.
After following his brother tae Henke’s old side Helsingborg he walked out on them a year later, when his sibling joined Parma, returning tae Nairobi.
Bit of a pattern starting here as that same summer he signed a 4 year contract with Beerschot. After a couple of suspensions for violence the Belgian side decided tae cash in on him and eventually sold him tae us, in his 3 years there he only played 51 games scoring 2 goals.
With Sung Yeung Ki and Beram Kayal in the side he struggled to find a place making sporadic appearances and not all in winning sides either.
Then on December 28, a vicious tackle by that thug elbows slowed down if not literally ended Beram’s Celtic career, as he himself said elbows deliberately injured him and that he “had not forgotten that for a moment.”
Vic was now given his chance and grabbed it with both hands; he became a cult hero with our fans. However, 10 months after being given his chance his agent released a statement saying that he had turned down an improved contract offer stating that his wage demands could not be met by the club this was amid speculation of interest from clubs in England.
In total he played 91 games for us while wee Beram played 132, even allowing for 4 months out of the game, I know who I would welcome back although who could blame him for not wanting to.
Personally, like skip tae ma lou, another player that couldnae wait tae get away I widnae give Vic the Pr**k hoose room.

I see the championship game in Scotland tonight as a former goalie and a current goalie Fox & Doohan play between the sticks … on this “transfer windae” evening the old Lennoxtown has fair played a major part in Scottish football, many teams littered with players that came through Celtic’s system …
We are in a better place than ever… still would like a wee addition (or two) but our squad is good enough for Scotland and I think Europa league progression of not another signing is made

My disappointment with the window lies in raised expectations brought about by talk of attaining a squad for winning all our games.
P67 followed this up with talk about ‘other things’ we would be doing to ensure we win the league – like others I took that to mean signings.
Our squad is good if everyone is fit, we haven’t had that for a couple of years now.
So Soro and Klimala are the lads to make us invincible come the months ahead. My fingers are crossed. I expected more.
