It’s that time again, buckle in!

The final dice on what could become our second nine-in-a-row season is set to be cast.  I expect business to be done but the usual caveats apply, it takes agent, player, selling club and buying club to be in alignment for a deal to happen and if one gets cold feet a deal will not happen.

For me, the position of greatest need is central defence.  Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are enduring injury problems which have forced their absence for much of the campaign.  The loss of multiple wingers is less a concern, as I realllllly hope we play three at the back and two strikers for much of the remainder of the season.

Buckle in!!

  1. Just passed by CP there, got talking to one of the paps. No news but PL is still in the building.

  2. Our team of ‘crack negotiaters’ must be working on something. Hasn’t PL announced in past windows that all business was done ? To my knowledge that hasn’t been done this time.

    Yet.

    read them and weep PEDRO.

  4. Turning my attention now to Jim White.Better listening to one zoomed than reading numerous.

Let’s face it,any transfer window is just an excuse for the usual suspects to have a go at PL.

  6. Less than 3 hours of angst to endure then we must make do with what we have.

No more talk of coulda woulda shoulda; it is all over till the 9th June.

We will just have to play Fantasy Football with the plauers already registered.

The game on Sunday is 100 times more important than what we bring in, in the dregs of this window.

P.S. We are currently 8/15 on to win the league; Sevco are available at damn near 2:1

Lawwell only cares about himself and the blue pound – himself and Desmond are happy with the tight race at the top – good for business. He and his Tory board deserve all the criticism they get.

  13. I wonder what time the window will shut for Sevco tonight or tomorrow or, you know what i mean.

  14. So it looks like Vic is going to Amiens in France, ground capacity 12,000 and they are reportedly paying 70% of his wages… Where the feck do they get the cash for that and who are they?

Maybe they don’t have a PL taking the biggest wage bill at their club.

  19. France’s top football league sold domestic television rights for 2016-20 for a record sum of nearly one billion dollars a year, officials said Friday.

The new deal saw Ligue 1 sold for 726 million euros ($994 million, Dh3.65bn) a year and the second division for 22 million euros a year.

  20. If that’s true I (Spurs paying 70%) I find it hard to believe that he would have chosen Amiens over Celtic if we had made the same offer. Can play defence as well as midfield and his signing would have given everyone a lift.

  21. St Mirren have approached Celtic to sign Bayo on loan, but as things stand, understand a deal is unlikely.
