EMILIO IZAGUIRRE insists Celtic are focusing completely on Sunday’s League Cup semi-final against the new Rangers.

While this semi final is Celtic’s opponents biggest ever match in their three year history, the game at Hampden doesn’t even rank as Celtic’s most important match in February.

The race for their fourth successive league title and the Europa League ties against old foes Inter Milan have been put on the back burner.

The Honduran defender admitted: “There is always pressure on us to be first in the league.

“That is why we work so hard, that’s what we fight for and we hope to stay there and achieve the championship.

“We always take it game-by game, so now the League Cup semi-final is the most important game for us.

“Of course, we would love to win the treble this year, even though we know it will be very difficult.

”And we want to do well in Europe. The Inter Milan game is one that we all want to play in.

“We know how important it is, not only because we’re facing such a famous team, but also because it gives us the chance to qualify for the last 16 of the tournament.

“Our goal is to go as far as we can in this competition.

“Obviously, we realise we will have to be at our very best against Inter Milan if we want to reach the next round.”
