EMILIO IZAGUIRRE’S Honduran international spot is in jeopardy after losing his place at Celtic, just 12 caps short of reaching his century.
The 30-year-old left-back has returned to the sidelines after Kieran Tierney’s recovery from injury.
He has yet to feature this year under Brendan Rodgers, although he has already made 16 appearances throughout the campaign.
He is regarded as a key player for his nation, but he could lose his spot for the vital World Cup double-header against USA and Costa Rica next month.
Manager Jorge Luis Pinto has already admitted he is concerned about the defender’s situation.

He said: “I am worried about Emilio Izaguirre at Celtic because he does not play at all just now.
“I have to hope he starts getting games again.
“If he continues not to play, we would have to look at him once he gets here and evaluate whether he is ready to play for us or not.
“But, yes, his situation at Celtic is a concern for me.”
