Jack, Kris and Marvin

412

I’ve loved the coverage Jack Hendry and Kris Ajer received for their international appearances over the break.  The situation in central defence is fluid, with Jozo Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata and (on loan) Erik Sviatchenko each with questions to answer, Jack and Kris have to be considered as having an equal chance of starting the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The thing I’m most looking forward to is seeing Marvin Compper fully fit.  There can be no doubt that Brendan sees Marvin as a crucial element in developing younger players around him, in particular with an eye on the Champions League qualifiers.

Saturday’s home game against Ross County is a perfect opportunity to give Marvin a start, while resting one of the international travellers.  Let’s hope he plays.

  1. Gents,

Got home yesterday and headed down to blacking pool today.

Putting the dog in the kennels is heartbreaking. It never gets any easier.

    Ditto.

Our first dog went to kennels overnight once & we asked for him to be washed and groomed.

Next day we went back early to collect & they were at lunch.

Said we would wait. Eventually took us to the ‘grooming area’.

Dog in a cage , no light on and an industrial dryer aimed at him !.

Mahe … cheers, mate. I enjoy your posts as well. Keep talking sense… I’ll save you a spot in the corner!

Big Packy …. say hello to the boys for me. Seamus is growing like a weed … from the photos, he is probably bigger than Frankie and Benny already!

When he first came home, he used to sit on a step on the stairs and chew his toy … it was just the right size for him… he doesn’t seem to realize that he has grown, as he keeps sitting in the same spot… but he is now too big to fit, so keeps slippling off and rolling down the stairs! Every time he does, he has this rather pissed off look on his face, and barks at the stairs … as if it is the stairs fault! Makes me laugh.

Doggy Bhoys,I had a similar experience with kennels, Jack came back minging, dog sitting is the answer, left him last March with a lovely young couple for a week, doesn’t cost much more and he is in a house as part of the family, there re a couple of websites where you can find someone local to do it

  15. MIKE IN TORONTO, mike no one is bigger than benny, he is twice the size of frankie, ed the vet has said he has to go on a diet, blaming me for feeding him to many treats ,just as if. lol. anyway we better stop talking about dogs or kevj or that delaneys dunky will tell us off.lol.

    Very good read – HH

  21. Deep Purple? My first ever concert at Greene’s playhouse, 1971or 2. Loved them then, but wouldn’t play much of their stuff nowadays. Unlike the likes of Free, who are timeless. ‘Highway’ is still one of the best albums of all time. Another brilliant album from the same time is Alice Cooper’s Love it to Death. Still play that all the time.

Too early for me to make judgement on Jack Hendry. He’s still got a long way to go. Ajer at this stage is much better.

  22. It might have been about now Our Blessed Lord was going through the agony. Being aware of what lay ahead of Him. Betrayed. But much more than that. Giving himself up for us. Hold his hand tonight in a spiritual way.

  23. Guys.

Mucho thanks for your empathy. We use family and friends for dog sitting, but similar to our last hound ,we have to get her familiiarised for the summer break.

We have built up a nice rapport with some nice kennels in Clydebank and hopefully the hound will settle in.

    Doesn’t stop us worrying though.

As for the moggie and fish. Simples.
