As European international players’ commitments wind down before the resumption of club games at the weekend, our three Japanese internationals are in Xiamen, China, for a noon (UK time) kick-off. The next 48 hours will see them fly to Japan, London before arriving back in Glasgow.
Consecutive days of disrupted sleep without appropriate post-match conditioning, or treatment which may be necessary to an injury picked up, is part of the job for Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Kyogo.
After arriving in Tokyo, they had an 8 hour flight to Jakarta for a game on Friday, then back to Tokyo, before a 5 hour flight for today’s game in Xiamen.
Brendan Rodgers will see the players on Friday and make an assessment of their suitability to play at Tynecastle on Saturday evening. They are not machines and we cannot expect them to perform as normal. I would rather they were fit and ready for Tuesday than had to endure another game this weekend.
What do you do if no one will take the Technical Director job? Give the role to someone already in the building. It’s a bit like appointing a marketing guy as CEO and will lead to the same results.

That awkward moment when your celebrity protester is Jeremy Clarkson .
yeah but he is one of the most famous (and richest!) celebs the BBC has ever had. Top Gear has earned him and BBC millions over the years from all over the world.
A great show and i liked him on it, thought he was very funny. not everyones cup of tea, but neithers tea!
i dont move in the ‘farmers inheritance tax’ circles though so not qualified to comment on the current dispute
I’ve never met a poor Farmer, I’ve met lots of poor farm workers.
Sorry to moan, but , I glanced at a newspaper stand last week and saw the headline, yeah, the headline, saying Pray for Me, by Davina McCall. She had a non threatening cyst on her brain.
Now on headline news, she has recovered well, and I;m happy about that really.
BUT, does anyone actually remotely give a fuck about her !!
would not wish ill on anyone but please, this is not worthy news.
Lets get these Israeli’s put back in their box

You are correct, a bit like the rest of us, the have and the have nots.
Lots of Burberry and Barbour on show today, not much ‘George at Asda’ nor ‘F&F’ from Tesco.
Nigel Farage and Jeremy Clarkston looking for photo ops.
Rule Britannia.
LADTH, not a swipe at you.

rich farmers not paying taxes, just because they “own the land”.
so at the moment you can sell off parcels, propertys on the estates, gift the children, pass it on in a will,
but but they dont want to pay any sort of taxes on it.
wherever do they get the idea,

1. King Charles III and the British Royal Family
Locations: Worldwide
Size: 6,600,000,000 acres
At the top of the list is King Charles III and the British Royal Family, whose combined landholdings span an astonishing 6.6 billion acres. The royals directly own around 260,000 acres in the UK, with a further 615,000 acres held via the Crown Estate. But across the Commonwealth, especially in countries such as Australia and Canada, there are vast tracts that are still considered ‘Crown land’ and are technically held by the monarch. For example, Crown lands comprise around 23% of Australia’s land area and 89% of Canada’s land area.
heard on the car on way home tonight, Scotland can still be a pot 2 side for the world cup draw IF Georgia or Estonia take anything from their games tonight.
Only one needed mind.
I just jinxed it didnt I.
Georgia – 2-0 down. Estonia drawing 0-0.
ps,
when they talk repartitions, start with all the titled giving the land back to the local authorities, then they can build housing where they want, and have state run farms, like Aus, NZ and Canada.
as an aside, TERRITORY was a very good watch,
Nite ya’ll
Apols for the political stuff.
However ?

but we will never get rid of this pish while we are still part of this ‘union’.
unfortunately there are too many people in scotland (P67 included obviously) who dont give a shite about the state of the country, or the unemployment, or the infrastructure etc
they just care about protecting their unionist, monarchist bootlicking.
that has to end

Cheers JM.
“longer-term” – good grief.
Impossible to put a positive spin on this situation … and yet the blue poodles at Pacific Quay try.
Just more evidence of the decline of our so-called closest rivals.
So much energy deployed to drawing ever smaller crumbs of comfort from ever more desperate situations.
Further detaches their following from reality.
Self defeating.

Headline : Major Development From R2ngers Boardroom
Body : At an urgent early morning showdown the board sat down to discuss the latest (whatever that is) situation over breakfast.
A piece of toast was dropped onto the floor.
It landed butter side up.
Rejoice !
Scotland in Pot 3 for next months World Cup draw, and according to the Herald (formerly Glasgow Herald) we are likely to be in a four team group. Not sure if that is good or bad, good in the sense we will play fewer games bad in the sense we will not get a Pot 5 team of the sort, Andorra or San Merino, who usually end up in England’s group. We have done a bit better of late, so must give a bit of credit to Steve Clarke and to John Carver. Lots of good teams in Pots 1 and 2, but not all World beaters it has to be said.
