CELTIC have finally been given the green light to complete the £6.5million signing of winger Filipe Jota.

The Hoops fans have endured anxious weeks of waiting for news the 23-year-old winger, who became a firm favourite during his season-long loan from Benfica, would return as a permanent signing.

Now reports have emerged from Portuguese outlet Record that the switch could be confirmed be confirmed this week after Jota returns from his extensive holiday which has taken in stops in Ibiza, New York and Mexico City.

Jota, who collected 12 goals in all competitions and the same amount of assists, will join US international centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers who has agreed a £6million four-year contract after his convincing campaign during his temporary transfer from Spurs.

Ange Postecoglou prioritised the permanent signings of the loanees this summer and it now appears certain Jota will arrive on a similar deal in the forthcoming days.
