JOZO NO GO BLOW

FORMER Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is still looking for a new club – almost FOUR months after leaving the Parkhead side.

The 26-year-old centre-back has just been dealt a second blow with the collapse of a move to his homeland with top-flight Rijeka.

Simunovic, who has already seen a switch to Trabzonspor fall through, has been told the Croatian club have pulled out because of concerns over his injury record.

It echoed the remarks of the Turkish outfit who abandoned their move for the player after expressing doubts about his fitness levels, according to a report in the Daily Record.

Simunovic, who was signed by Ronny Deila for the Hoops in 2015 in a £5.5million swoop from Dinamo Zagreb, has struggled with problems throughout his career and made only 14 starts for the nine-in-a-row champions last season.

The Parkhead hierarchy decided against exercising the 12-month option in his contract to allow him to go at the end of the previous campaign.

Simunovic won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups during his time in Glasgow.
